Lie With Me | Sequel to 'Impossible'

Black was the colour I was forced to wear ever since this formal gathering was anything but happy.

My eyes watered at the fact it had been two whole months, and justice was only being served today on account of my family.

"Ellie, c'mon honey. We have to get going now. We'll all be in the car" My Mum walked in with dark circles framing her azul eyes as she looked me up and down with a weak smile.

"I'll be there in a moment." I replied and straightened out my black pencil skirt that travelled down to my mid - thigh.

My hair hung in a low rolled bun and I was wearing Mum's black blazer that she thought I looked nice in.

Ever since the incindent happened, Mum and Liz had been staying up all night every night to file paperwork against Alex for what he had done on that horrible day, trying to find some justice for Luke.

My feet took me downtairs and out the door, not very fast considering I was wearing tall stilletoes and it was only my first time ever wearing something with a heel, completely different compared to my Converse and Dr. Maretens.

"Move over dickhead" I kicked Jordy and he screamed in pain.

"Watch where you're putting those fucken things!" He referred to my heels and I smiled, the first genuine smile I hadn't forced in a while.

"Stop laughing!" He smiled and I plafully hit his arm.

"Let's go put him away for good" Mum smiled while placing a hand on my knee from the front seat.

*Ashton's Pov*

"Where is she!?" I exclaimed and earned a chorus of 'shh!'.

"She's on her way now. She just texted me" Michael whispered from the row ahead of us just as a loud noise echoed through the courtroom.

"Ellie!" Calum laughed while watching her stumble through the room wearing sky - high shoes that made her just below my height.

"Shh!" The judge warned us as we were ushered to sit down.

All of Ellie's family followed her through the door, looking all snazzy in their suit and ties.

The one person we were all praying and hoping would walk through those amazingly huge double doors was Liz and the rest of Luke's family.

Luke's Dad, brother's, niece and a few cousins sat near the back in complete silence and intense glares that were quite intimidating.

"Ellie Brooks?" The judge questioned her as she sat down in one of the perfectly carved wooden sears that wedged into the hard desk.

"Yes, sir" She quivered.

"Alright, let's get started. Bring him out" The judge called and Alex was brought out into the room, handcuffs and all.

"I don't know what to do Ashton!" Ellie whispered from the row in front and I shrugged.

"I don't know where Liz is, we can only hope for the best" I tried to cheer her up and she smiled.

Mission accomplished.

"Alex has been sentenced to life imprisonment on one count of assault, and one of attempted murder. You are all dismissed."

The whole courtroom jumped up and down and cheered, Alex was finally away for good.

"Guys! I did it!" Ellie screamed and we ran in for a group hug.

This was the first time I had seen Ellie smile since I found her and Luke that day in the forest, she was singing songs gloomily and tears running down her face.

She had been doing exactly that for the past two months, singing songs with tears running down her face, posting them on YouTube as a dedication to Luke.

If only he could see how broken she is without him, he eould come back in a heartbeat.

"Glad that murderer is in prison?" I questioned her and she smirked.

"I'll never be glad that he's there because of me, I mean come on. I used to date him for Pete's sake." She laughed as we all headed out the door.

"Thankyou so much Ellie" Luke's Dad gave her a massive hug and she returned it.

"I'm glad I could help you out in some way" She smiled and he laughed.

"You're like family to me, of you ever need anything we're just a phonecall away" He gestured to Luke's whole family and she burst into tears.

Heavy footsteps deterred our attention to behind us, and we all spun around to see what was happening.

"Hospital. Now" Calum panted while dropping his iPhone and stealing my car keys, I stood there and watched the expensive piece of technology turn into millions.

"HURRY UP!" He screamed and called Ellie, Michael and I over.

"It's Luke" He sighed as we sped off into the direction of the thirty minutes it would take to get to the hospital.

It could only mean one thing...
