Chapter 11

"Okay, truth or dare" The words flew out of Luke's mouth and arranged in his native tongue.

"Let's let this game go out with a bang. Dare" I smiled and started to chip off the black nail varnish that covered the tips of my fingers.

"I dare you to tell me one place you have always wanted to visit" His hand rested on his cheek and his elbow dug into his thigh as he rested it heavily.

"Wow. What a big bang that was" I rolled my eyes and a wide grin plastered on his face before he looked behind him to see Calum strumming away at his guitar, obviously creating a new melody.

"Hurry up and answer him for god's sake so I can get some sleep already and not have to listen to you both practically fucking each other!" Michael's muffled yells through his pillow pierced my ears as I quickly ripped out my headphones and winced.

"Okay, I've always wanted to go to Paris to the very top of the Eiffel Tower. That, would be amazing" I kept my eyes squinted as the bright light was a change from the darkness that surrounded me.

"Well maybe I could take you there one day" Luke placed his hands behind his head and leaned up against the window behind him, the city of Vancouver the beautiful backdrop.

"Mmm" I mumbled and quickly averted my eyes away from the screen to my phone that suddenly lit up beside me.

"Text?" Luke raised his eyebrows while straightening his posture so his back was flat up against the wooden chair.

"Uh, yeah. I'm sorry. I have to go" I smiled weakly and my heart suddenly lurched at the thought of what I was about to do.

"Oh. Was it about the text?" Luke's monotonous voice filled the room as it suddenly got louder and earned a telling off from Michael who was suffering from jet lag.

"Yeah. It's nothing you need to worry about" I sighed and adjusted my back against the headboard of the extremely uncomfortable bed.

"What do you mean by that?" He raised his eyebrow and I suddenly caught the drift of where the conversation was leading.

"Do you think I'm cheating on you?!" I raised my voice and backed away from the computer.

"Well what am I supposed to think!? You're supposed to tell me these sorts of things!" Three screams could be heard and I could tell the other boys were getting annoyed with all of the yelling.

"Like what? Would you like to know when my period is aswell? It's been and gone." I exclaimed and crossed my arms over my chest as a tear ran down my face.

"Seriously Ellie! Of course I'm concerned. If I was being honest, I never expected a girl like you to like a guy like me" He adjusted his beanie and let his face fall into his hands.

"Luke, I don't know if we can do this anymore. You boys are getting bigger and I'm not too sure if I can cope with it. I know we've been on and off a few times but I mean it this time. I don't know if I could have you go through the heartbreak when I'm gone" A single tear rolled down my cheek and landed on the keyboard of my laptop as they never stopped.

"I don't care about the heartbreak. It's more heartbreaking that you actually don't consider my god damn opinion of this and won't tell me these sorts of things" His face formed the crinkles on his forehead to show he was worried, something I knew alot about.

"Luke, I'm begging you please-"

"No! If you want this relationship to be over, then it's over. For good. I won't contact you and you won't contact me, I'm sure you'd be happy with not having to bother about me." His voice stung like a million piercing knives and my heart lurched out of my chest.

"I love you" I whispered and wiped my tear - covered cell phone still looking at the reminder.

"I can't fucking do this anymore Ellie. We can't. Please don't make this harder then it should be" He rubbed the ridge of his nose and fell out of sight.

"Luke, I'll show you what it was" I held my phone up to the screen until he came back and sat down in the chair while squinting his eyes trying to read the small reminder.

His eyes opened widely as he scanned the words and he opened his mouth to speak

"Ellie, please don't do this I'm coming back" 

A/N: Any guesses as to the reminder? It's gotta be important if Luke is gonna get back to England.
