i don't know about y'all, but the seventies have to be the greatest time for music. i mean, really. just think about it.
from 1969 forward into the flower power decade, music meant so much. of course, it always has, but during the seventies, people actually listened.
there were no more screaming fangirls (i mean, there was, but not on shea stadium level where the band can't even hear themselves). people actually listened to the lyrics, the melodies, and the meanings of the songs that were being sung.
i don't know if it's because of the fact that all those crazed teenage girls grew up and got over themselves or if it was because the music was just that powerful, but all i know is that any piece of music produced in the seventies is legendary in my book.
just something to think about.
