While Nick filmed his movie, I worked on my album. Nick & I didn't get to see each other very much, since he was working a lot of long evenings. Some nights, the producers of the movie would put everyone up in a nearby hotel, since they had to get up early most days. I hated the nights he didn't come home, but I understood it made sense. It was almost a half hour drive to & from, anyway. Nick always called me, though, before he went to sleep & I always answered. Sometimes, he'd facetime me, but either way, I loved to at least hear his voice before I fell asleep.
Of course, things couldn't just be easy or normal for us. Nick was spotted around town with his costars & paparazzi photographed them together & the rumors started flying. One morning Nick & his co-star, Heather, were spotted coming out of the hotel together & my phone started ringing once the photos hit the internet. In the photos, Heather had her armed linked with Nick's arm as they descended the stairs. He was assisting her since she had on heels & he's a gentleman. This wasn't obvious to most people since the rumors were everywhere.

I was at a luncheon that afternoon for a bipolar fundraiser & when I walked the red carpet, the questions were mostly about Nick. I ignored the ones that were shouted at me, but when one of the ladies from Entertainment Tonight stopped me, I was more than willing to answer her questions. I always loved the people who worked for ET & also E! They were always very respectful to me. Of course, I loved everyone at Extra, too, since Mario Lopez & I were great friends.
Nancy asked, "Demi, everyone is talking about your marriage & wondering if it's in trouble since Nick was spotted with another woman coming out of a hotel in Hollywood this morning. Can you shed any light?"
"I can, actually." I said with a smile. "Nick is working on a movie right now & the girl he was photographed with is his co-star, Heather. They work late & have early mornings, so sometimes they will stay in the hotel. Separate rooms I assure you." I laughed. "Our marriage is fine. Never better."
"And I assume he was just helping the lady down the steps like the gentleman that he is." Nancy, smiled.
"Exactly."
"Thank you for clearing that up & I wasn't worried. I know how much he loves you. Every time I have spoken with him, he just gushes about you."
I giggled & felt my face get warm. "Aww. Well, he still makes me swoon. I'm a lucky girl."
