"I need to......"

I couldn't risk of going outside as I didn't had any power. My legs wouldn't be able to run a thousand miles! I was sick and weak. I needed to eat, regain my strength and energy that is if I had a chance at escaping..

"What?" he roared.

"She needs to use the-" the boy started.

"I need food!" I said cutting him off.

"What?" The man sneered.

"I said I need food, I am weak and haven't eaten for days..The guards won't be happy you know, they may even refuse to take me in my current position, you wouldn't want to lose all that gold, now would you? Please...I will die if you don't feed me!"

I was extremely cranky to say in the least. The bastards had drugged me and not even fed me! Oh gods, please let the buster feed me!  I just hoped, he couldn't read between the lines..

" Yes master....we should feed her as she is ill " the boy prompted and when I glanced towards him, he gave me a sad smile. My heart clenched  for the boy and I felt bad for using him. He must've been free once. Must have been out of the clutches of such bizarre and pathetic men. Men who drew pleasure from the sorrows of others. I often thought why such men existed. Why did the gods created such evil in the world? But that was it! the gods didn't create evil, just as the darkness was the absence of light...evil was the absence of gods in the heart of the people.

What a world it would be where darkness did not existed? But then again in the absence of darkness, I wouldn't be able to see the millions of twinkling stars, Light wouldn't be able to shine. But this darkness which showed stars and spread light was beautiful -it couldn't hurt me, the darkness that could hurt though was the darkness of the heart. This darkness was not magnificent  or enchanting but rather cruel and evil, so powerful that it could destroy lives. That is why Lia, you need to get out of here, claim your thrown and destroy such darkness by spreading light. A candle loses nothing by lightning another. Be that candle. The only purpose why such evil exists is to be destroyed.

I couldn't give up. I needed to be strong. I was swept back into the reality when the man groaned in disgust and turned on his heal to leave the room. I immediately turned to the boy and asked;

"Why did you help me?"

"I know the pain, miz... No one was there to save me when I needed someone the most but you have someone..." he trailed off.

I closed my eyes and gulped. I fought the tears and looked at the boy, his face glowing in the candle lights...he appeared so young from the outside and yet his eyes told another story.

"Whats your name?" I whispered.

"I don't remember but they call me cole"

Cole that name reminded me so much of Cale. Where was he? Wasn't he worried about me? Was he even looking for me? I was playing a dangerous game, even though I tried hard to distance myself from him, I didn't succeeded. I was expecting too much from him. Even though he acted like a bastard, he done so much for me. He had saved me from the the attack in Elera , travelled a million miles with me just so I could reach to safety, he insisted that my father had asked him to do so but I knew he had been lying. My father told me everything and if he had asked Cale to take me back to Moneria- he would have told me. Because he knew I trusted no one - But you trusted Cale. My mind reminded me.
