Chapter 6

I woke up the next morning still in David’s arms, wrapped in his comforter, nose to nose with the man of my dreams. He looked so peaceful when he slept, I closed my eyes and snuggled even closer to him. Yes that woke him up. The next thing I knew, his lips were pressed to mine sending shivers through me.

“Good morning Jess,” He whispered to me.

“Good morning David,” I whispered back. He sat up and pulled me with him.

“What do you do in the mornings?” He asked me.

“Drink coffee,” I replied and looked over at David. His usually amazing hair was a complete and total mess. There was some sticking out on one side while the other was flat. I couldn’t help but laugh.

“What? What’s funny?” He asked. I handed him my cell phone to look at himself.

“Your hair,” I said, still trying to contain my laughter.

“OH SHIT!” He yelled, by then I lost it. I just couldn’t handle the strain of not laughing. Kevin came running when he heard the noise.

“Aha! Dave’s hair never looks like that,” He said, dying in the doorway.

“That’s it, I’m taking a shower!” David announced and walked out of the room.

“Just wait until it dries, his hair is anything but straight,” Kevin said and left me alone in David’s room. I didn’t really want to stay here so I grabbed one of David’s sweaters and pranced down the stairs. Kyle greeted me at the bottom. He was just too cute!

“Do you guys have any coffee?” I asked Kevin. He gave me the ‘Are you kidding?’ look.

“This house belongs to the kings of the hangover, do you think we have coffee?” He said sarcastically.

“You’re right, where is it?” I asked. We made a pot of coffee and I worked on raiding their fridge.

“You know, you really have Dave wrapped around your finger,” Kevin pointed out.

“Really? He’s kinda got me too,” I admitted.

“That’s hilarious, but I think you’re perfect for him,” Kevin told me.

“Seriously?” I asked. He nodded and then I heard the water shut off upstairs.

“That was quick,” Kevin said. I sat at the kitchen island and waited for the coffee with Kyle in my lap.

“He’s soooo adorable!” I said and scratched his neck.

“Just like you,” David said over my shoulder, petting Kyle.

“Ew, get a room,” Kevin called.

“I HAVE ONE!” David yelled. We laughed and eventually the coffee was done. David and I both drink it black.

“Awww, I love your hair curly David,” I said and played with it.

“Really? I hate it,” He said.

“No! It’s so hot,” I told him. He smirked. We didn’t really do much, We kind of just sat around together until I had to go to work.

“Shit!” I said.

“What?”

“I forgot clothes at home and I don’t have time to go back to get any,” I said, running my hands through my hair.

“Just take mine,” David said. We went up to his room and looked through his stuff until I found stuff that would fit. I ended up in a large tank top and some skinny jeans, generously lent to me by David.

“Damn girl, you look sexy in my clothes,” He said and wrapped his arms around me. I have to say, they fit pretty good.

“You look pretty good in them yourself,” I said and flung my arms around his shoulders. David kissed me and I could feel butterflies beating their way out of my stomach. He could kiss me like nobody else.

“You’re kind of amazing,” David told me.

“Look who’s talking,” I replied with a wink and we went downstairs. We yelled goodbye to Kevin and David drove me to work.

“Jess! We have lots for you to do!” Jeremy said. I groaned and got to it.

“You don’t have to be here Dave, you can go do something with Kevin, I think he misses you,” I told him.

“Aw, but I’m only here for a week,” He said.

“Go,” I told him. He moped and walked out but not before he left bruises on my waist from the kiss he pulled me into. Don’t get me wrong, I completely loved every second of it. This was the beginning of something beautiful.
