Marie went home, and filled out all the papers from her work. She was more than qualified for the job of being an auror, and the whole building knew it too.

She kept checking the time as she filled the papers. She felt like time was ticking by slowly. She was growing more and more anxious each time the clock changed the minute.

She hadn't seen Newt in what felt like forever. She had missed him, but she was still hurt by his actions. She had always dropped hints about her feelings towards the man, but he never picked them up.

Marie inhaled deeply, and let it out in a sigh. She set aside her papers, and walked towards her wardrobe, looking for something nice to wear. She didn't like any of the outfits she had picked out, so she just stayed in what she wore earlier.

She ran to her bathroom, swiftly running a brush through her long, brown locks of hair.

Soon she was walking downstairs and knocking on Queenie and Tina's door. Queenie then answered the door with a smile, and pulled Marie in for a hug.

"Marie! How are you? I haven't seen you in ages! I've missed you honey!" She smiled brightly and brought Marie inside.

"Aww i'm good Queens, what about you?" Marie asked, getting a kettle and pouring water in it and setting it on the stove for a boil.

"I'm doing alright, Just busy with work. You know how it is." She replied, walking into her bedroom to change into her sleep wear.

"Oh about work-" Marie began, but was quickly interrupted when the door opened and revealed Tina, Newt, and a different man. He was a little bit larger, but seemed lost and confused.

Queenie had already taken a liking to the situation. She peaked out from behind her bedroom door, in only her knee-lengthened pink night gown with a black robe. She put on a playful smile which lead to the stranger smiling and blushing.

"And that's my sister, Queenie. Queens, why don't you change." Tina told her. Queenie politely nodded and with a flick of her wand, she was wearing something a little bit more proper.

The man was intrigued.

"Marie, allow me to introduce you. You already know Mr. Scamander," With the hint of his name, Newt looked up and gave Marie a small smile and a nod. "But this, this is Mr. Kowalski." She said pointing to the larger man.

Mr. Kowalski held out his hand for her to shake. Marie took it being the polite witch that she is, and noticed it was clammy from how nervous he was.

"Well, it was nice meeting you." She smiled.

He nodded back and stood there. Marie sat at the dinner table, watching the enchanted items hard at work.

She jumped slightly when she felt a large hand on her shoulder. Newt sat down beside her and gave her a soft smile.

"Hi." She said.

"Hello."  he replied.

"Still finding more creatures?" She asked.

He nodded and pulled out a journey full of notes and pictures.

"Yes actually, i'm working on a book. It's called Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. But.. I lost some of my creatures. That's why i'm here tonight." He told her.

Marie looked at every page and picture with such amazement. She looked back up at Newt and smiled.

"Wow, this is all so amazing.. You did this? All of it? Ever since you left Hogwarts?"

"Yeah, I have." He smiled back.

It felt like old times between the two. Smiling and sharing things that they've learned throughout the day.

"So, How are you-"

"Marie, Your waters boiling!" Queenie called out.

Marie sighed and excused herself, and attended her tea. She poured a cup for herself, and one for Newt. She made it just the way he liked it. She knew that if there was something wrong with him, he always liked a fresh cup of tea to soothe his nerves.

She placed the cup in front of him and gave him a smile. He gladly returned it.

"Marie, would you mind helping Queenie and I make dinner? we could use an extra hand." Tina asked.

Marie nodded and stood up, pulling out her wand like the other two women and swiftly pointed it in different directions and soon a meal was prepared.

Marie sat at the end of the table, while Newt was at the other. Tina and Queenie in the middle and Mr. Kowalski at the other middle.

Dinner was filled with silence while Queenie read Mr. Kowalski's thoughts and flirted non stop with him.

Glances were exchanged between Marie and Newt, neither of them catching one another's eye. But that was considered speaking too soon. Newt and Marie made eye contact, and newt smiled while a blush rose to Marie's face.

"If you'll excuse me, I need to go use the Lou." Marie said excusing herself and walking to the bathroom.

She looked at herself in the mirror, listening to her thoughts about her old friend.

She was starting to fall back under the spell of love. She kept falling over and over again for Newton Artemis Fido Scamander.

After a while, Marie came back out and Newt and Mr. Kowalski were in the spare bedroom. Queenie and Tina were making coco, and Marie then chimed in.

"So, what's going on between you and Mr. Scamander?" Tina asked.

Marie inhaled deeply and picked up two glasses of coco.

"Nothing." She replied, giving a simple smile and walked into the room with boys.

"Here, we made some coco, it's nice and fresh." She said and placed them on the night stands. She noticed Newt pretending to be asleep.

"I'll see you boys in the morning." She said and walked out.

She was barely feet away from the door when she heard a thud come from the bedroom. No one was in the beds, and Newts brief case was standing perfectly.

She knew exactly where she was, and so she followed the boys.

"There you are!" Her voice sounded.

She obviously startled the boys, which made her chuckle.

Newt smiled at her little laugh, missing the sound of it.

He will admit, he missed her company so very much, and he was glad that they met up with each other once more.
