"no, well yes. But it's not dangerous unless it's provoked." He said, worry and a bit of panic filled his voice.

Tina looked at him like he was some sort of monster. He was containing a beast that was out in the city, terrorizing it. Sure, maybe there could have been two of them. But everything started when Newt came into town.

Marie then stepped in and intervened.

"Whatever is out there, it has nothing to do with what Newt brought here. I can assure that." She said.

"Oh really? And how are you so positive about this? Just wait until Seraphina hears about this." Tina accused. She started walking away.

"No!" Marie grabbed her wrist and turned her around, getting a little bit too close to her.

"Don't turn Newt in, because they're going to accuse Newt the same way you accused him. And they're going to take his beasts and everything. I wont let that happen to him!" Marie told him, she was beginning to panic, as worry laced her voice.

"Let her..." Newt spoke up.

Marie turned around.

"What?" She asked.

"You heard me. Let her take me in. I'll be able to explain everything."

Marie sighed in defeat and went back inside of the little house.

Tina and Queenie had exited the case, making her way to MAUSCA.

Marie and Newt were nervous, meanwhile Jacob didn't know what to do. Jacob wanted to help so badly, but he was acquainted with the problem, making it bigger.

Queenie met Tina at headquarters and she went off to find a distraction that would make sure they got out of the mess safely.

Tina, walked up the stair case, and into a meeting.

"Miss Goldstein, what seems to be the matter now?" Seraphina asked. She was the president.

Marie could hear Tina stutter from being nervous.

"Well?" Seraphina asked once more. "Miss Goldstein, in case you haven't noticed, were in the middle of discussing a very strong matter, so if you don't mind, we would like to get back to our matter."

"A few days ago, a man entered New York with a case full of magical creatures."

Marie listened intently while the two made their conversation. She heard herself sigh, only knowing that they were bound to get into trouble. 

"Why would you let her do that?" Marie asked Newt, stepping towards him. "You do realize that they are going to come along and try to take those beast from you, right?"

Newt's eyes were trained on Marie's shoes, and he tried to tune her out, but it wasn't working.

"Yes," he mumbled. It hurt him to think that not only did he just turn himself in, but he was endangering his beasts. 

"I'm not going to let anything happen to them, I can promise you that, Love." Marie said, planting a soft kiss on his forehead, and wrapping him in a hug. She knew that those beasts were everything to him, and she would die if anything happened to those things. She knew that it would come down to that, which is why Queenie had left their sides. She was going to help them make sure that those beasts were okay.

Newt let a tear tremble down his cheek, and so he allowed himself to be enveloped in Marie's arms. He held her close, taking in her scent of lavender and chamomile. It was a calming sensation that coursed through him, just by her scent. It was enchanting.

A small knock was made on top of the case, signaling that it was time for them all to come up.

They each filed out one, by one. Starting with Newt, then Jacob, and finally Marie. Many gasps were made as the last two made their way up. No body knew JAcob, seeing how he was a no-maj, but everyone knew Marie. She was an auror. and she had just started. It wasnt the best start for her

"Mr. Scamander, are you aware of the danger you have put us, witches and wizards, into? and not only us, but the none wizard folks too?" Seraphina asked.

Newt nodded, letting his head hang down. The four of them were placed on their knees in font of everyone, and they all answered questions.

"I can assure you-" Marie had interrupted.

"No, Ms. Wing. You have done quite enough. You will no longer be an Auror, and you will be punished, severely," the president began. "You will be stripped of your memories, and soon be left to be sucked up for consequences of bringing a danger into our city, blowing our cover into the no-maj world, and even bringing one into this situation. It's madness."

"Take them away." she told someone. Newt was stripped of his case.

"No! No! Please! Not my beasts! They aren't dangerous! I can assure you please! don't hurt them!" Newt yelled in panic. Tears began to stream down his face, as he was unable to comprehend what was going on exactly. 

Marie had felt horrible, yet Newt was left to be interrogated, while Marie was going to be left for dead.

YES IM BACK!! I understand my absence has affected the book, but i can assure you all that i am well, and i will be updatin gmore often hopefully. The reason as to why i left was because I had so much family stuff, then the holidays, and poor carrie fisher and debbie renyolds. Its a tragedy. BUt may they rest in peace, and may we continue to read on!
