Omnipotent [Discontinued]

Chapter 8

[Emeritus's POV]

"Thank you Los Angeles you have been amazing as always!" I yelled out to the crowd.

The mass had gone by spectacularly, for the most part. While the mass had been a big success for us I had been mildly distracted trying to not beat Alpha's head into a speaker. He kept taunting Omega and that really angered me. 

At first Omega had shied away from him and tried to avoid him but as he got more and more lost in the energy and chants of the crowd he ended up countering and accepting Alpha's advances, and that is when I had nearly lost it. 

We walked off stage, my ghouls all high-fiving each other for the great performance of the night. I walked behind them slowly, exhausted and moody, sipping my water bottle wishing someone would notice how upset I was, and by someone I mean Omega. That was not the case, I was left alone as my rowdy ghouls walked each into their changing rooms leaving me to stand alone like an idiot. I sighed and rested my head on the wall. What is happening to me? 

"You seem troubled." I heard from behind me making me shriek and turn around.

I placed my hand over my chest and took a moment to compose myself. 

"Oh, haha, I um thought I was alone. No worries Air, its just the performance finally starting to catch up with me." I tried to play off.

Air stood still with his arms crossed against his chest. He held eye contact with me and then nodded. He began walking towards me and placed a hand on my shoulder.

"I know that look, Papa. I have felt what you are feeling now. And you want to know what that feeling running through you is called?" he asked me.

Hesitantly I nodded.

"Its called Love, Papa." he chuckled and gently patted my shoulder. "Don't loose him, instead help him, he's already lost himself." was the last thing he said before he walked away into Earths dressing room.

I blinked a couple of times into the darkness and then stormed to my dressing room. Who did he think he was? Telling me, ME, of all beings that I was in 'Love'. Pfft. 

"In the name of Satan, LOVE! he couldn't come up with something a little more believable?!" I yelled at my empty room. 

"I would have accepted anything like lust, greed, old age, hell even the flu; but LOVE!! What kind of sick joke is this foolish lit..." my rant cut off as I looked at my couch through the mirror. 

There all curled up was my little Omega fast asleep clutched onto his stupidly adorable purple and pink unicorn. Slowly I turned around and stared at him. I took in all of him. The way his shoulders shook with every breath he took, the way his nose scrunched up and his lips parted welcoming the feeling of not having his mask on, the way his legs twitched as the cool air-conditioned air hit him directly. 

"Beautiful." I whispered. "Absolutely beautiful."

In that moment I felt all anger and sadness just vanish from with in me. I felt an odd warmness wash through me that I had never felt before. I felt longing for him, and not in a carnal way. I just longed to have him in my arms. To feel his breaths on my skin. To feel his hair brushed up against my neck. 

"Just like this morning." I whispered again.

I sighed and went about quickly changing. When I was done I quickly dialed for my SUV to be at the back door for me. I piled my stuff my the door for the service members to pick up and then I made my way to the couch. 

Omega had stayed asleep the whole time, occasionally mumbling about cinnamon cookies. 

I gently picked him up and cradled him like a child in my arms and made my way to the back. As I passed the other changing rooms I called out to Earth that I was leaving and taking Omega back to the castle with me because he was asleep. Earth simply smirked at me and wished me a good night saying that him and the other 3 would be staying out for a bit to catch some drinks.

"Just be careful and be back before sunrise." I whispered to him and with that I made my way to the SUV. 

I slowly slid into the back seat with my little ghoul still in my arms. 

The ride was short and quiet. My driver opened my door for me and then ran to open the castle door as well.

"You may leave now, thank you." I dismissed him.

He simply nodded his head and was gone.

I walked to my room and laid Omega on my bed. I made my way to my closet and pulled out a comfy looking sweater and a pair of sweat pants.

Quickly, I changed into the sweat pants and took my shirt off, then I walked back to my bed and gently began to slip Omegas jeans off. I then proceeded to take his shirt off and put the sweater on him. He looked so small, cute, and snug in my big fluffy sweater. 

I pulled the covers back and made my way to my side of the bed. I turned the bedside lamp off and pulled the covers over us. 

As soon as I was comfortable, Omega snuggled up to me.  I smiled down as I saw him snuggle into the crook of my neck and placed my arms tightly around him trying to get him closer to me, if that were even possible. I sighed in content and made a mental note to address the pending and promised conversation with him tomorrow.

I closed my eyes and just before the darkness consumed me, I swear to Satan I heard a quiet 'I love you Emi' fall from Omegas lips.
