Chapter VII - Broken Chances? Maybe Not

The sun was shining as brighter than before. Laughs of cheery children were heard. Inside my room was the opposite.

Wet and crumpled tissue paper, scattered on my bedroom floor.

"Melly?" Juleen knocked on my locked bedroom door.

I was already awake then, but I didn't want to talk to Juleen because; ONE, I was too lazy to stand up and open the door, TWO, I was too embarrassed for Juleen/Ma to see my sored eyes due to my 'crying spree' last night.

"Mel, I know you're awake. Open the door and let's talk, please?" Juleen asked me nicely as she kept knocking and knocking on my door.

"Ugh. Go away" I mumbled. I was really annoyed because of the continuous knocking.

"Just heat up the burger in the microwave if you're hungry. Your dad and I are going to the hotel to meet up with a client of mine. Drake went to the park with Hannah. Nonna will be back soon." Juleen told me. Finally, she stopped knocking on my door.

I still had the 'Dad didn't want me to join the surfing contest' issue in my mind. It made me think alot of rebellious reasons and things I should have said.

"Omigod, Melanie! It's just a stupid surfing contest! It's no big deal!" I told myself. I was kind of weirded out because I was talking to myself. So, I got my Macbook and logged in my imessage to see who was online.

And to my luck, my bestfriend Amy Gold was online! It's been awhile since I haven't talked to her.
