Chapter V - Lost and Found 2

[ the next day ]
I was sleeping soundly. No one forced me to wake up on 8 am and no one was annoying me because HIS phone was missing. I opened my eyes, gently got my iPhone and pushed the home button. It was 12:03pm. I softly yawned and glanced at my surroundings. I was in my bedroom here in the beach house in Australia. I thought I was back home in San Francisco, USA but I was still here.
My bedroom here in the beach house is much like my bedroom back home. But was empty. It was painted in white. It had 2 'bay windows' and a balcony. The windows and balcony had long green curtains. My room was airconditioned but had a medium-sized wooden ceiling fan. My canopy bed's curtain wasn't green it was white and transparent. I felt like I was in a resort.

My phone kept ringing. Someone was calling me. It was Ma/Juleen. I quickly answered it.
"Hello?" I talked to the phone.
"Melly, me and your dad is stuck here in the arranged meeting. April's going to pick you up and ---" I interrupted her.
"WHAT?! April?! Why her?!" I reacted angrily on the phone.
"I'll finish talking first before you react there. April's going to pick you up by 1pm today." Ma finished.
"Why HERRR??!!! Where the heck is Drake when I need him?!" I asked her.
"Drake is with Hannah. We can't leave you inside the beach house that's why you're going to be with April for awhile" Ma explained.
"Ugh. I'll go eat lunch" I told her. As I ended the phone call.
I woke up dreamily and peacefully. Now, it's ruined. I have to be with April for the whole afternoon. Don't they trust me being alone in this peaceful beach house?. Well, I'm only 16 years old, surely I won't survive in this big house being alone. But I really won't survive with April, I thought. My mind was full of positivity and negativity at the same time.
I quickly went down the stairs and went to the kitchen. I opened the refrigerator and searched for pizza. I was craving for pizza these past few days. Finally, I found a box of pizza from pizza hut. I picked up two pizzas and put it inside the oven to warm it up.
After 30 minutes, I was done with everything, eating lunch, bathing and getting ready. I wore my light denim capri pants and paired it off with a slim white tube top. Wore a layered crochet vest and for the finishing touch a not-so-long red, yellow and green flower necklace. I wasn't in the mood wearing my converse so I slipped up in my ordinary brown sandals. I tied my hair up, I wasn't really a fan in wearing earrings. I got my Gucci sling bag and transferred all of my things that could fit from the orange Jansport backpack I used yesterday. Yeah, this is what I call my casual or daily outfit.
It was 20 minutes until 1pm. Like Ma said, April will pick me up on one o'clock pm. I was in the living room of the beach house. I lazily jumped to the couch and opened the flat screen TV with the remote. As the TV was on, it was showing an episode, Juleen's favorite show, Triangle of Love. I tried to watch it since I wasn't really a fan of watching love related movies. The show had a really common story, the girl had a boy bestfriend. Her boy bestfriend really likes her because of their long time friend relationship with her but unfortunately the girl has a boyfriend.
I was watching it, the show was in their season finale. I was really intimidated by the part I was watching. The girl by the name of Georgette was ready to attempt suicide by jumping off a 12-story building (the building was right across her school) because her boyfriend by the name Liam cheated on her with another girl. I knew what will happen, Georgette's boy bestfriend will save her from jumping off the building and they'll kiss and they'll live happily ever after. That's what happens in every story similar to this.
