A/N: Hey guys! How are you all? So I have decided on a couple of stories I'm going to focus on for the next month or so. This story, His Soulless Rejection, The Curse, Dream Talking and You and I. I'm trying my best to keep of all those stories long, so I need to focus on them so I can make longer chapters.
Now to the dinner party!!!
Chapter 5
Dawn's POV
I stopped at the door that held the dining room, there was male laughter and then female laughter from my relatives.
Sighing, I didn't want to interrupt them but if I didn't go I know my Mother would give me a painful beating afterwards.
My Step-Dad was out of town on a “business trip” but I think he was having fun sleeping around without my Mother to guard him.
I was about to knock on the door, trying to be polite while pulling at my dress, but stopped when I heard the next question.
“So where is your other daughter?” I hear a familiar voice ask.
“Oh, um.” I could just see Mother fidgeting around in her seat, thinking of something nice to say. “She should be down here soon.”
“Tell us about this other daughter of yours?” another familiar voice asks.
“Oh, well she is a bit on the different side. She is Goth and has next to no emotion. She also has quite an attitude.”
Nice, that's what you say about your daughter (note the sarcasm.)
“What do you think about her, Annalise?” familiar voice number 1 asks my step-sister.
“Um. Personally, I don't like her. She tries to take all the attention, being Goth because she knows lots of guys like the mysterious type of girl. She thinks she can get away with anything, skipping all of her chores, and locking herself in her room doing god knows what! She always judges me and sometimes even slaps me when I was just trying to be nice,” Annalise lies.
I roll my eyes at her typical bitchiness. As you can guess, she is the schools “IT” girl, and the schools slut. She is the bitch who doesn't give a crap about anyone and just tries to steal most girls boyfriends. I feel sorry for the new hot guys that just recently started school, she would be going after them like a cat chasing a mouse.
There was an awkward silence that filled the room, everyone just thinking over what Annalise had said.
“Well as you can see, my daughter likes to speak her mind and be honest,” Mother says.
“I've been told that boys like me even more because of that.” I could just imagine her leaning closer to the boys.
