A/N: Hey guys! So I know this story took a little longer to upload. And I am truly sorry about that. I hope the next chapter won't take as long as this one did to upload. Right now I had to sort of rush this chapter because I'm not meant to be writing but instead packing to go to a three day camp tomorrow. So sorry if I don't upload in the next 2 weeks. Stupid school!

Chapter 6

Alec's POV

Dinner went by surprisingly good, not that I thought it would be bad or a waste of my time or anything, but it defiantly went by smoother than I would've expected. Especially because Dawn was there.

All I could smell through out the meals was her intoxicating vanilla and berry scent. It filtered through my nose whenever I took a long inhale, of course through my nose.

Dawn didn't talk much, so I made sure to allow her into the conversation every now and then, her Mother and sister didn't seem to happy about this.

After we all had finished the Main Meal the maids came and cleaned up the table, then set out a variety of snacks ranging from crackers and cheeses to Prawn chips. Wow, Shelly sure made sure we weren't hungry.

I nibbled on a few Prawn Chips while Shelly explained some things about her family, but keeping in mind that there was a human in this room that didn't know about Werewolves.

“So, my Husband is currently out on a business trip, he should be back in a week or so. He is very nice and loving, always looks after his daughters and treats them with well respect,” she said.

I flicked my eyes over to Dawn and see her clench her jaw, looking like she wanted to yell at her Mother. Her eyes were anger filled as she stared down at her plate which had a few Prawn Chips on them.

“So, this husband of yours, does he have a close relationship with Dawn?” My Father asks.

I shoot him a quick smile, he must've noticed Dawn looking like she wanted to disagree.

Shelly stiffened a little, but quickly changed it to a look of relaxation and shot us a warming smile.

“Why yes, he does. Dawn has always been the Daddy's Girl, going to him with all her problems. He always gives her treats and the best advice.”

I looked over to Dawn, she was biting down on her lip. “Is this true, Dawn?” I ask her.

She looked at her Mother then me, “Yeah.” He voice was motionless, you wouldn't be able to tell if she was lying or telling the truth. I looked in her eyes but she quickly diverted them to her plate, obviously hiding something.

Dawn's POV

“So, this husband of yours, does he have a close relationship with Dawn?” Alec's Father asks my Mother.

“Why yes, he does. Dawn has always been the Daddy's Girl, going to him with all her problems. He always gives her treats and the best advice.”

I bit down on my tongue super hard that I felt it might fall off. I wanted so bad to tell the truth, that I hated my step dad. After all, why would I love a guy who abuses me and treats me like shit?

I felt a gaze bore into the side of my face so I lowered my head until I was looking directly at my plate of Prawn Chips. Even though I am exceptionally good at lying, I still have my skip ups, and I have a feeling that now could be one of those time. I need to make sure I show nothing, keep my voice and expression blank and make sure no one will be able to see through my façade.

The conversation then drifted off to subjects such as work and school. You know, the usual stuff: 'How long have you worked?' 'Is your payment good?' 'Is there any exciting events soon at school?'
