Gaining Colors [Complete]

Chapter 13

During the following days, Alexis and Casper continued their exploration like horny rabbits. Apart from their sexual interaction, their lives continued as before. Alexis started studying for the final exams with her colleagues at the library. Casper decided to fill the formulary of some universities in London, to apply for a Educational degree. Apparently he could be a candidate, if he did the bachelor exams, in one of the high schools. So, after his work, Casper would go home and study until dinner time, the basic subjects that were both annoying and captivating, depending on the perspective. With all bureaucracy, Casper realized that he was still far from entering the human society. He was working, sure, but it could he called a clandestine job, without taxes, without papers.

Every night they cooked something together and talked for hours about their day.
One night, they were lying in bed, when Alexis remembered that Casper needed an Identity Document. Now that he was indeed alive, he would require everything that the basic English citizen needed in its daily life.
That thought brought a wave of worry over her. Casper detected her nervousness and pulled Alexis more into his side.

"What's wrong?" He asked, caressing her hair.

"I just remembered that you don't have identification papers and you will probably attract the attention of the police. Your case is unique and I'm afraid of what they could do to you," her voice was low, protecting Casper from the possibility of the neighbors overheard their conversation and go immediately to the police to report the case.

He tried to calm her agitated nerves. "Everything will be fine, Alexis," giving her a kiss, he started massaging her neck and shoulders, a trick he had learn that could calm the worst of the beasts. Not even seven minutes later, her light cute snores reached his ears, bringing a satisfied smile to Casper's face. He was worried as well, but he felt confident that everything could be solved.

They went one morning to the department responsible for making the ID. It was full of people, already tired of waiting. The woman that attended them, was surprised to know that Casper had been living without papers. She efficiently called for a policeman, so both of them could give a statement. It was protocol. The woman informed them that, in the event the police could not reach any conclusion, Casper would need to pass a psychological evaluation.

Alexis and Casper made sure to practice a simple and short story for the police.

"So... What happened?" A round man asked them behind a desk. He had a mug full of coffee beside the keyboard, where is fingers were waiting to write their statement.

"Well... I was going home late that night and I saw a man shivering from cold in the park beside my house. I left some papers fall when I stumbled into a rock. He helped me to get to my feet but I got scared and pushed him away. Well... he fell and hit his head in the bench."

The man's gaze turned to Casper, his eyes scanning his height.
"A man of your constitution fell??? So easily... by..." the direction of the man's stare landed on Alexis, as if doubting the story.

"I'm stronger than you think, sir. He was weak, malnourished. I took him home and decided to help him. He is living with me since then." Alexis concluded. The man's eyes never left them, while he wrote the story that had been told. Multiple questions were popping into the man's head. First of all, who would take a stranger into their home so easily? Second, the blind man seemed more fit to be in the front page of some fashion magazine instead of a homeless.

"You will need to be evaluated from an expert," the man announced, his fingers never stopping.

Finishing with the report, the man rose to his feet, unbalanced at first, and walked away, leaving Alexis and Casper alone.
