Darkness

Voices could be heard around me as I was stuck fighting with the darkness , trying to escape. My wolf and the wolf of darkness going head to head in a battle. If I won , I would be able to see my pack again and live. If I lost, I would die and be stuck in the darkness forever. I fought harder as I heard my mate say "Please come back to me beautiful . I will never allow myself to live knowing you got hurt especially since it was my own uncle that hurt you. Please come back my love , I need you here . I wanna live out our future together , getting married and having pups together, ruling our packs together. Please please come back to me . " . I could hear him crying and feel his tears hit my hand as he held onto it. I fought stronger , striking the wolf of darkness in the sides. It slowed but not enough as it lunged forward slashing me on the face. "Doctor , what is happening to her. Her face was unscratched a second ago and now it has a big gash across it. " asked Chase. I struck the wolf again this time pinning him to the ground as I bit into his neck just enough to draw blood but not enough to kill him. "She is fighting with the wolf of darkness" said the doctor sighing. "Is she gonna be ok?" Asked Chase. "I think it's best if you leave ." said the doctor. Chase went to protest when his parents and mine pulled him away. I could hear his screams and cries of protest wanting to stay by my side til I woke up. The wolf stared at me and bowed its head and said " You can go back Luna , thanks for a great fight. I wish you all the best princess. " I bowed my head and stepped into the light. I opened my eyes blinking until my eyes adjusted to the light. I raised my head and looked around to see no one in the room. I slowly raised up and out of the bed taking the iv out of my arm. I walked to the curtain and peeked out not seeing any one and snuck out of the pack hospital and went to the pack house. I snuck into my room and shut the door. I sighed then screamed as I heard someone say "you can never stay out of trouble can you?".  I turned to see Duke, one of my best guy friends and one of the best warriors of the pack. I walk over to him and smack him on the chest and yelled " what did I tell you about scaring me like that?". He shrugged and got up and said "let me see the damage princess". I sigh and showed him . "He got you good, but good news you will be healed in two days max thanks to your werewolf healing power. " I nodded and said "thanks ". "No problem , now you should go see chase , he's been going crazy without you." Said Duke. I groan and say " ok. Where is he?". "Come on and I'll drive you to where he is?" Said Duke. We went downstairs,out of the house, and into Duke's truck. He drove us to the track near by. He parked and helped me out. He led me onto the track and pointed towards a blue 24 Napa Chevy that was racing around the track. I walk over to Chase's crew chief Alan and ask "how long has he been here?" . " 3 hours straight , I'm guessing you are his mate?." Said Alan. "Yeah" I said watching Chase's car. Alan goes "come with me". Duke and I followed him into  the pit box. Alan gave me headphones and said "use this to talk to him , we will give you time alone here." He walked away and  so did Duke. Alan along with the rest of Chase's crew left the pit box while Duke stayed close in case I needed something. I put the headphones on and said "chase , can you come talk me outside of the car please?". "Liliana is that really you?." He asked. I laugh and go "yeah, now hurry up I'm hungry. He laughs and drives his car into his garage. Duke helps me get down and we go to the garage. Once in the garage, I'm instantly pulled into a hug feeling sparks I know its my mate. I sigh happily hugging him back. "I thought I'd lost you. " he said. I pulled back and said "never". He kissed my head and then said " why aren't you still in bed, you're hurt." "She has always been like that " said Duke. "Like what?" Asked chase . "escaping from the hospital, but don't worry she will heal completely in two days max. "Says Duke. Chase looks at me and smiles before saying " come on lets take you home . " I smile and follow him to his truck getting in .He drove us back to the pack house. The pack was all outside. Chase parked and I said "I'm gonna have a lot of explaining to do". Chase laughs and grabs my hand, "I'll be with you every step of the way". I smile leaning over kissing his cheek.
