Dismissing the teenagers, they all obeyed with a few grumbles, each grabbing some water. I smiled in amusement, watching as the guys pulled their shirts back on and the girls pulled their own forward so it wouldn't stick to their skin. The sun started to climb down the sky, and Will joined me at my side as the other two warriors led the children back to their homes.

Kyle followed us as we went back to the castle, and I looked over at him. "I think Sam's going to have a dinner. I don't think you're the only Alpha here. Want to join?"

He laughed, wrapping his arm around my shoulders. "I could eat, sure."

Smirking, I pushed at his side, flinching away as the bruise pulled. "Sorry," I mumbled, noticing his worried gaze.

"What happened to you? I only see the bruise on your cheek."

Lifting my shirt, Kyle let out a low growl, his pupils dilating with the rage that was swimming in his veins. I quickly dropped my shirt, feeling Will's hand on my back in comfort. "Sam will explain it all inside. Let's go."

Clenching his jaw, he followed us inside, keeping to my right as we went in the direction of the dining room. We entered slowly, and Sam's eyes looked into mine as a smile lit up his face. He stood, meeting me halfway, and took my hand in his before kissing it softly. A blush flooded my face, and I tore my eyes away from his to the other Alpha's sitting at the table.

"Sam," I hissed, seeing the amusement light up in his eyes.

"Sorry."

Kyle laughed beside me and took a seat, letting Sam lead me to mine. Will followed obediently, standing behind me. I glared at him, pointing to the chair, and he shook his head no.

"Will, you haven't eaten all day. Now sit," I growled, and he smirked in my direction, looking up at Sam for the okay.

When he nodded, he took the chair beside me, his hands resting on his lap. Everyone was silent as our food was brought out to us, and every now and again, I caught Sam looking at me, teasing me with a smile on his face. I stifled a growl, thanking the waiter for the food, and waited until Will began to eat.

"So why have you gathered us here today, Samuel?" Kyle asked, testing the soup on his spoon.

"There is a man named Lucas that kidnapped and attacked Star a few days ago. He's threatening to erase the existence of our kind."

One of the Alphas laughed, and I looked over at him. His lips were curled over his teeth almost in a sneer as he looked over at Sam, yet he still remained laughing. "Who does this human think he is? It sounds like he's been living under a rock to me."

His southern accent made me smile, and I finished off my soup hurriedly. Will was watching him intently, his eyes dark and clouded.

"You didn't see the way Star looked when she came back, Matthew. She didn't look the same. He carried a photo of his aftermath after he..." Sam shook his head, not wanting to think about it. "He told my brother that she was his girlfriend and that she ran. When he found out Alexander was a wolf, he gave us a month and then he would attack."

One of the Alphas gasped, and I looked over at her. "But Sam, what made him react so violently? What have we done to him over the past for him to want to attack?"

Sam shook his head, not knowing. "I think he's just a scared child. However, Star had a thought judging his numbers. If he is confident enough to attack all of the packs in the United States, then he has more numbers than we think. Who knows, maybe some of the humans in our town is on his side."
