The rush of wind felt welcome as I sped down the road. Wait until I tell Eric what happened! He won’t believe it! To be honest, I hardly believe it myself. Not only did I have Stardust, I had a whole arson of powerful dragons, including my cherished Blue-Eyes. I wish this traffic would clear up! It’s a nightmare trying to get home! Maybe if I take that shortcut, I’ll be able to miss this traffic. I pulled into the narrow alleyway and looked back at the traffic. I laughed slightly. I turned my head back. I went into a state of shock. A child stood in the middle of the alley. My runner was going straight towards her. I immediately swerved to avoid her. In doing this, I was yet again thrown off my bike. In a split second I randomly grabbed a card out of my deck and placed it on my duel disk as I disconnected it, off my runner, and activated it. It was a long shot, I didn’t know what I was hoping for. What happened next I cannot begin to understand. A white dragon appeared out of nowhere and it caught me as I flew through the air. I heard my runner collide with a skip. My eyes opened slightly. The majestic creature looked down at me. It’s shimmering white body dazzling to look at.

“Thanks Blue-Eyes” I said, using up all the energy I had left. Blackness draped over me.

I started hearing voices.

“Quick, into this room!” said one

“How’s he looking?” said another

“Not too badly, he just needs to be checked over” said yet another

I had started to come back into reality, it seems I had fainted after my Blue-Eyes had caught me. I could smell now. It smelt too clean. I knew I was in a hospital. Then stillness. It took me about five minutes to recover from my faint. I opened my eyes gingerly and sat up. The room was pretty much empty bar one person. A shoulder length, red haired, lady who was wearing a long white coat, much like Yusei’s, but I could tell she was a doctor. Something felt almost familiar about her, like I’d met her or seen her before.

“Ah you’re awake” the lady chirped

“If you consider this reality...” I replied

“Haha, I can assure you this is reality, you’re not dead”

“Well that’s good” I said, slightly sluggishly

“Oh sorry, I’d better introduce myself, I’m Dr Izinski, I’ll be just checking you’re ok, and if you are, you can leave.” She said confidently, “Now, can you tell me your name, just so I can check our database.”

“Dominic Guy Mellor”

“Great, thank you Mr Mellor... It doesn’t seem you have any previous medical concerns, so we can proceed as normal” she smiled

While sitting there, I was still felt she was familiar. Izinski. Where had I heard that before.

“Can you tell me what exactly happened then Mr Mellor” she enquired as she checked my arms for fractures

“Well, I remember riding my duel runner... I turned down an alleyway, as a shortcut, and a kid was stood in the middle of the alley... So I swerved out of the way and fell off my runner in the process...”

“Oooh... Nasty... I think you’ll be fine” she smiled again “Now, is there anything else you think I should know about?”

“Well... Something happened in the alley... When I fell off my runner...”

“Yes... go on”

“I... I don’t know why, but I activated my duel disk mid air and placed a monster card on it...” I admitted reaching for the card on my duel disk, which was now on a table by my bed, “...This card...”
