Escaping The Apocalypse

Meet up

         After the chaos that occurred between her family and Blue, she slowly picked herself up. Staring into space: her mind went blank, not knowing where life would take her next.
" I need to warn the girls.. i cant lose them" she whispered , mentioning the only source of family she had.
Frantically Blue searched for her backpack; stuffing supplies she thought she would need. Grabbing her phone from her pocket she dialed her friends numbers. With each ring, her stomach felt as if it was trampled over. She had no idea if her friends were safe.
" Luna?"
" Holy shit , i just saw a zombie! "
" is everyone okay?" her friends spoke desperately.
" I'm okay, there's no time to talk we need to meet at the Costco at the block near our school " as they all agreed on the destination they would meet at, Blue desperately grabbed her backpack and left behind the place she never felt at home.

       When she came around the corner of her destination she could see people in terror escaping the popular shopping center. Screams of terror escaped the mouths of civilians as they ran from the threat that was zombies. Her breath was caught in her throat and time seemed to slow down as she walked towards the place people were escaping from. Seeing her friends relief hit her.
" Luna! You're okay! Oh my god are you hurt?" Serefina mentioned to the bloody dress Blue was wearing; her fearful blue eyes asked with concern.
" I'm okay, are you all okay?"
" As best as we can feel, but you haven't answered Serefina, are you hurt? Who's blood is that?" Dust demanded.
" My fathers." Blue replied shortly.
" what happened" Rin asked calmly.
" oh my god Luna, is he okay?" Autumn asked worried.
" No he's not i just bashed his head in with a bat and my mother's not okay either she slit her throat." Blue replied bluntly.
" oh and call me Blue, don't call me Luna anymore."
Serefina quickly covered her mouth to stop her quick sob. The group looked confused on the sudden burst of anger Blue showed, she never was like that.
"My parents abused me since i could remember, my father had a mistress and my mother was a sociopath out to kill me. I don't want to talk about it, just know that the reason i killed my father was because he was a zombie."
Blue didn't know if she had just lost her friends because of the information she gave but all she could hope for was the best.
" I think Blue's right, we all care about her but we need to get going before zombies invade this place" Dust mentioned to the now now vacant Costco. Blue couldn't help but smile to her new name.
" Get going? Get going! Where Dust! We have no car! We are in a zombie apocalypse, we are dead meat!" Serefina exclaimed.
Snapping us from our thoughts a large figure appeared from the side, a zombie looking for flesh limped towards us.
" well shit" Autumn stated.
" I have guns, take one, aim and pull the trigger " Dust explained.
"Can i get this one boss, I'm feeling a little on edge " Blue grabbed the steal axe from Dust's bag, swinging it around waiting for approval.
" Be my guest, the rest of you aim and watch Blue"
Blue laughed with excitement: She had never felt more alive.
" This is going to be fun" with strength she swung the axe straight at the zombie getting a growl in return. Chunks of the zombie flying off. She kicked him into a box where she repeatedly swung the axe receiving blood in return , finally with a final blow the head rolled off. The group observed as Blue wiped the blood off her face only to end up smearing it.
" You okay Blue" Rin asked concerned.
" don't worry luv, I'm better than I've ever been"
As the group tried to pack supplies they needed into their individual bangs a distant sound caught their attention.
" Did you hear that?" Rin asked.
They all payed close attention to the low sound. They were all focused on hearing that a dark haired boy appeared. In a flash Rin's reflexes jerked and in a kick she pinned him to the floor, holding his arm for leverage.
"Who are you!" The girls exclaimed simultaneously. When suddenly a group of guys made their way around the corner.
" Hey! He's with us! Let Haru go!" A tall guy with green eyes said bluntly.
Rin tensed up at the sound of the name, she slowly looked to see the familiar face tied with the name. She swiftly moved away from him and putting her cloak on while moving towards the back.
" Hey! Chill out, were in the middle of an apocalypse. We're taking precautions" Dust exclaimed. Having what seemed like an eye battle between the two groups leaders.
" you're right. We're here for gasoline, will get what we need and be on our way" he said smirking.
" girls can I speak to you guys" Serefina said dragging the girls.
" guys! gasoline! What do you use that for you ask? A car! We need a car! We can ask for a ride" Serefina exclaimed excited.
" No" Rin spoke bluntly.
" why not?" Kat asked confused.
" i know him." Rin whispered mentioning the dark hair boy she pinned down earlier.
" oh! I know who that is ! Isn't that the boy who.. well you know" Blue said while looking at the floor.
" no we dont Blue, who is he?" Dust asked.
"Someone who hurt me okay. I'm not getting in that car"
" Do you have a better idea Rin! We have no car! We will be eaten alive out there" Serefina yelled.
" luv she's right, we need a car and they have one"
" look Rin i don't really really know what he did to you, but we need a ride could you please just suck it up" Dust asked.
" Fine but if he messes with me i'll shove my foot so far down his throat." Rin assured.
" you're the best Rin, we owe you one" Blue replied.
" okay guys we need a favor" Blue started
" we need a ride and we don't have a car, but you guys do" Blue said pointing at the guys smiling.
" please, we don't have a car. You guys would be such a huge benefit" Serefina pleaded with hopeful eyes.
" what do we get in return ladies? " a black haired guy asked.
"How about protection ?"
" Not getting killed by us and we take your car"
" Friends!" The girls mentioned some benefits.
"You girls would just slow us down"
" hahahaha" the girls laughed hysterically.
" we can kill you guys without using a single knife or gun in a flash" blue laughed.
" but we won't because we will benefit you guys, trust us" Dust persuaded.
" Look, we don't know where we're headed, and we don't "
" we don't either" Rin cut the freckled boy off.
" all we know is that there is zombies" Autumn stated.
" fine" the green haired guy sighed.
" take anything you guys need"
As the girls smiled with victory their celebration was cut short when they herd moans coming closer to them.
" well shit. lets go, in the car ladies" the leader demanded.
" wait we still need supplies" Dust responded.
" yeah well we can't anymore with zombies on our ass"
" Oh we can take care of those" Blue smiled.
Before Blue could make her way there was a fleet of zombies coming their way, too many for her to handle.
" okay group, we need to split up into teams and take these shit heads down" Dust began to say the plan.
" Hey i'll give the orders here" the green haired guy stated cutting her off.
" Says the one that was going to run" Dust sassed.
" look.. whatever your name is"
" Bernón" the leader responded.
" okay Bernón, we need to split up and fight, we need more supplies" Dust persuaded.
" okay, Autumn and Serefina, go check the back.
" Kai join them" Bernón mentioned the black haired guy.
" Blue and Rin face the zombie head on"
" Raiden join them as well" bernón insisted.
" and Haru, you and me will join through the side"
As the three separate groups made their way toward the rotten non-living humans, they all waited for a battle.
Through the back, Kat, Serefina and Kai found themselves having to fight three zombies.
Serefina not being the most brave began to shake holding her machine gun. Kat with a bat focused on not being attacked by surprised. The zombies launched themselves aiming for flesh.
" i got these two you take the one on the right kat" Serefina insisted.
" Its time to kick some ass"
Aiming at the zombies Serefina took the two out with no trouble and no blood on her hands.
" eat shit zombie " Autumn swung the bat with might smashing the zombies scull. Although its jaw seemed to be hanging off by a thread, it still fought to devour her. She counteracted " kai! On my count shoot! "
" 3... she lured the zombie closer. 2... she prepared to jump.1 .. shoot!"
With team work they were able to bring down the zombies swiftly.
" i hate those son of a guns" Serefina laughed.
" me too hun, me too" Autumn laughed.
" Wow ladies, may i way i'm not surprised" Kai mentioned.
" good" they both stated smiling.

Into the main battle Blue was looking for a fight, she attached her trench knifes on each hand, aiming for blood. Rin besides her had her katana at hand.
" This should be fun! " blue laughed in excitement.
" lets teach these zombies a lesson" Rin replied.
Keeping her hood on trying to contain her identity from haru, she looked at her victims.
"Ugh!" She grunted with each strike her katana made.
With each strike blood launched at her, Rin's main focus was cutting off heads, so with a thud heads would fly off one by one.
Blue enjoyed killing zombies: to her it was about bloodshed.
" hahaha, dumb zombies" she laughed hysterically as she aimed to kill the zombie by torture.
As she sliced through a zombies flesh and hoped to fight the next she ran into the freckled boy, Raiden.
" wow, you really hate zombies dont you! " he spoke.
" it looks like you're a professional, have you done this a million times!?"
" nope, this my third kill actually, not as satisfying as the first" Blue laughed honestly.
" who was the first?" Raiden asked curiously.
" My father hahah" Blue chuckled.
Earning a jump from Raiden he focused on killing the zombies then from the odd lady.
"Isn't she something" he thought to himself before using two of his hand guns to take them out with one round of bullets, if he knew anything; he knew how to handle a gun.
The other group composed of mostly leaders had no trouble fighting. Dust used her dual axes and her fighting skills to swiftly get rid of any threat. She observed Bernón as it seemed he was fighting and competing against her which only angered Dust.
Haru being distracted by the cloaked girl he didn't see a zombie near him, with a slice the zombie was forming a pool of blood on the ground.
" focus Haru! " Bernón yelled.
As their threats vanished they all met up where they once met.
" okay good job guys, now lets finish packing and go" Dust mentioned as the leader.
" yes, id like to go soon so quickly if its possible" Bernón agreed bluntly.
As the group headed to the car Bernón and kye made their way toward their seats ; Bernón in the driver's seat and kye in the back, shortly after loading everything in the car.
" I will ride shotgun! " Dust said forcefully.
" i want to sit in the back" mentioned Rin.
" me too, i need a nap" Autumn said exhausted.
" We will join you guys" Haru and Kai replied taking a seat in the back.
Rin couldn't help but panic yet remained calm mentally face palming her face.
"I call a window seat!" Exclaimed Serefina.
"I'll sit in the middle!" Blue mentioned as she sat in her seat next to Serefina and Raiden.
