Chapter 6 - Banners

Months flew by and I was happy as never before. When Nicky was in Ireland we spend almost every second with each other. We couldn't get enough of each other, it was like we both fianlly had the missing piece back in our lives and we both didn't want to let it out of hands again. Then he went on world tour with Westlife and was gone for three months. But even during this time we stayed in close contact. We texted a lot and he called me everyday. What are you so afraid of? I asked myself. My heart was totally sure that he would never let me down again.

And finally my heart convinced my head. But how should I tell him that I trusted him completely. I knew he was just waiting patiently for a sign. I knew that he loved me with all of his heart and soul. Telling him on the phone didn't seem to be the right way. But he was on the other side of the world, so now it was my turn to wait patiently for him to come back. It was so hard to wait and just tell him nothing about my change of mind while he was away. I missed him badly, I couldn't wait to see him again and tell him.

So I decided to surprise him at the first show back in the UK. I told nobody that I would come so I went there early to catch front row. I made it and then I had to wait again. The show began and I hoped Nicky wouldn't see me too early. So I tried to hide behind that chick in front of me. When it was time for Nickys banner reading, I unrolled my banner and held it high.

Nickys POV

There were so many banners as usual. Let's begin with something usual. Shane, let me have your baby! I read a big banner. I love the Feehily-ngs you give me, Mark! I continued laughing. The fans were creative as usual! I read some more banners when my heart stopped suddenly. Nico, it's safe to ask! I read loudly and I tried to see who was holding it. Then my eyes met hers. Maria had a big and warm smile on her face while she bit her lip and looked at me. Sweety! I said. My heart was racing and I looked at the guys. I wanted to ask her so badly and finally she wanted me to. Lads, do we have some minutes for something really important? I asked them with my mic switched off. They looked at each other. Sure! Shane said. I pointed on Maria. Maria is here. Can you get her on stage please? I asked and went backstage.

Marias POV

What is he doing? The girls around me started staring at me when Nicky had pointed on me. I went red and tried to hide but Shane was already there. Hey Maria, Nicky wants you to come on stage! He smiled and reached for my hands. Oh god, what have I been thinking??? Had I lost my mind???? I should have known that he would do something like that after knowing him for such a long time. I took Shanes hand and he guided me on stage. Nicky was back too and he smiled at me happily. The fans were already suspicious what was going on. Nico, what are you doing? I whispered to him. His eyes were sparkling and his smile was dazzling. It was your idea, Sweety! He whispered back. Then he fell on his knee, got a ring out of his pocket and looked at me so seriously I've never seen before at him. Sweety, you know that I love you more than anything else in this world. He said. There were lots of Awwwwwwww's in the crowd and one or two Boooooooooh's but all I noticed was him, his smile wide and his eyes full of love. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I picture us both old and grey on a bench in our garden and our grandchildren around us. He continued, more Awwwwwwwww's in the crowd. My heart was already melted, tears were flowing over my face. I could see Nicky shaking a bit. Sweety, would you make my dream come true please and become my wife? He ask with trembles in his voice. I couldn't say anything so I just smiled at him and nodded. He put the ring on my finger and stood up. Then he pulled me in his arms and kissed me passionately.
