Karkat x Reader

Chapter 2

Shoes entered the hallway outside the glass. You heard confused gasps and saw them pointing to E. You were obviously taken aback by this. They could see him?! Guess he's a bit more "real" than you had previously thought... Then you locked eyes with another troll. You felt your stomach turn with nervousness... Could he... Could he see you? He had tiny horns and a black shirt on... You saw a bit of a symbol, but it was cut off by shadows.

Then he pointed you out.

Everyone else saw you.

You freaked out and hit your head on the underside of your bed before slowly crawling out. You have to make sure they're not hostile.

The one who had pointed you out stepped a bit closer. The symbol on his shirt came into view. You'd recognize it anywhere.

Psionic.

You freaked out and ran towards the glass barrier, tripping over a tray in the meantime.

"SHIT. IS SHE GOING TO ATTACK?" The shortest one shouted. He seemed scared of you. Many of them did. All of them did. They feared you. And you hated it. Then the one with Psionic's symbol came forth.

"Can you hear me?" He asked.

You only nodded your head in response.

"Can you under2tand me, two?" He asked.

You cleared your throat before quietly responding with a meek "Yes."

He nodded and moved over to the door and went to press the button to open it before the short one stopped him.

"SOLLUX. WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?!" He shouted at the one named Sollux.

"S... Sollux..." You tested saying his name. It seemed like a nice name for a nice troll, but you've been easily mislead before.

"KK, 2he'2 been here 2o long ii doubt 2he'2 ho2tiile anymore. 2he'd have no rea2on two attack u2 anyway. We're 2ettiing her free." He responded, lisping a little here and there before slamming his fist on the button, setting you free.

You fell to your knees hyperventilating. You hadn't gotten to breathe actual fresh air in so long. And the sudden pressure from the door opening and letting new air into the room made your body feel heavier than usual.

Sollux ran over and picked you up in his arms. He seemed worried. This was new to you. E looked at you over his shoulder. His friends shouted to him to be careful with the "shadow monster" being so close, but he didn't seem worried. He knew E was just worried for his friend. Suddenly you were surrounded in a red and blue aura and you were floating. Psionics. Sollux was using his Psionic abilities to help you. Him, his friends, and E all then left the prison with you floating alongside them.

You watched as Sollux gently set the girl down onto his couch. You were angry with him. What the ever-loving fuck was he thinking just opening the door to the cell like that?! She could've attacked! And, gog. What is with that weird shadow-thing.

My name is Eellei Crukin.

A strange voice said. It sounded like it was in your own head. Are you going crazy as well?

No. You are not crazy, young sufferer.

Now you were freaking out. Was this the shadow talking to you?

You down on the chair next to the couch. That shadow thing seems pretty weird, but the fact that there was a surviving troll from the time of the 'ancestors',  Karkat called them, was pretty crazy. Even crazier, she had made God Tier. You cracked open a new bottle of AJ and downed it quickly. Stuff was about to get pretty interesting as Karkat was walking to the shadow.

"OKAY YOU FREAKY THING. EXPLAIN YOURSELF." Karkat shouted at it.

No response.

"Yo Karkrab! What did the thing do to deserve your tyrannical rain of anger and hatred?" You asked, cracking a bit of a smirk.

"SHUT UP, DAVE. IT WAS IN MY HEAD. I DON'T TRUST IT" Karkat shouted angrily back at Dave.

Karkat walked closer, slowly but surely, to E. He was being very cautious in case it was hostile.

"Karkat. Do not be afraid. I will not harm you, or your friends. I am only worried about Y/N's condition." E said. Everyone turned to look. It had actually spoke.

That's when the so-called Y/N quietly spoke, still a bit weak, but in a more stable condition.

"E, there's no need to worry anymore. I'm alright now." Y/N said, coughing a bit at the end.

The shadows form started to fizzle a bit. Everyone took a few steps away from it, even Y/N seemed scared and she was around the thing for years.

"Okay, should I be prepared for this thing to explode like a ticking time bomb, or are we good?" I said, standing up in case I need to run.

"I'm sorry. My time is up. I am done. I was made to keep Y/N company, but she is out. I must go." The shadow said before disappearing. We all relaxed a little, as it wasn't going to harm us before everything was relatively normal again.

I finally got my bearings. So now I can act logically.

"Okay, who are you all? Why the hell did you save me? Why do most of you look like the people who put me in prison in the first place? Who are the-"

"Okay. Enough. No more questions. Listen. I'm Dave, that's Karkat, Sollux, John, Rose, and Kanaya. John, Rose and I are humans from another world. The others are lame and you shouldn't care about them." The 'Human' named Dave said, while gesturing to who everyone was.

"HEY. WE'RE NOT LAME, NOOKWHIFF. ANYWAY. THE ANCESTORS WERE FROM SO LONG AGO THEY ALL DIED. THE END. NOW HERE WE ARE. EXPLAINATION OVER WITH, DONE. AND IF I HAVE TO EXPLAIN ONE MORE THING, MY THINKPAN IS GOING TO EXPLODE." The one named Karkat said- Er... Shouted.

Once you were sort of caught up, a girl troll walked in.

I Heard The Main Door To Sollux's House Open And Shut As Someone Walked In. As I Turned To See Who It Was, I Immediately Knew Things Were Going To Get Ugly.
