You turned around confused as another girl troll walked in. You instantly eyed the horns suspiciously before you backed away slowly. You noticed the blue symbol on her shirt and backed up even farther, falling backwards off the couch.

Mindfang... How is she still... The same as when I last saw her...?

Sollux noticed as you fell off the couch and turned towards the door. He then looked back at you and his eyes widened when he saw your scared expression. He offered you a hand to pick you up, which you accepted, and he patted you on the head to try to calm you down.

I had entered the room where everyone else was, hoping to catch John so we could go hang out, when I saw a troll I'd never seen before. And she still has god tier after SGRUB ended, so I was quite confused.

"Soooooooo... Who's the new chick? And where'd she come from?" I said, putting a hand on my hip quizzically.

"Vrii2ka, ju2t 2tay back. We all know how you can be. Ju2t look at Tavro2." Sollux said, snarling and showing his teeth a little.

I strode over near Sollux and the new chick before I got up close and personal to the new girl. She cowered away from me, even though I'd never seen her before.

"What's your proooooooo8lem? I haven't even seen you 8efore! Why do you seem so scared?" I said, getting right up in her face.

Mindfang... You thought, She's just like Mindfang... But now's my chance to get revenge for what she did to me all those years ago... All those years in prison because of her...

You snarled at her, and she seemed surprised, but then laughed that horrible laugh of hers. Oh how you hated that laugh... You raised your hand a bit, her looking at It confused and then  brought it down quickly with a loud slap. Her head turned to the side from the force and everyone gasped, looking at you shocked.

"You... You bitch! That hurt!" Vriska yelled at you, then pushed you over. suddenly she tried to lunge at you to attack, but someone held her back.

Karkat was standing behind her, holding her by the arms so she couldn't attack.

"VRISKA. CALM THE FUCK DOWN. YOU'RE SCARING HER. SHE HASN'T BEEN AROUND PEOPLE SINCE THE ANCESTORS TIME. YOU KNOW, THE WAR? SHE PROBABLY DOESN'T KNOW ANY BETTER." Karkat shouted at Vriska, clearly angrier than usual. You shrunk back a little when Vriska started thrashing against his hold trying to get free.

"JEGUS VRISKA. CALM DOWN!" Karkat shouted again. Vriska seemed to be calming down a little over time, so you relaxed a little and slowly made your way over to where Sollux had been seated, his Psionics sparking occasionally, clearly pissed off at Vriska's intentions to harm you. Vriska had then calmed down enough for Karkat to let go of her arms, forcefully pushing her in the opposite direction of you. Karkat calmly walked over and sat down next to you, eyeing Vriska the whole time in case she tried to attack once more.

Why the sudden change of character?, you thought, I thought he was against the idea of even setting me free earlier... So why is he suddenly protecting me like this? It's strange...

"Are you okay?" Karkat asked you. From what you could tell, he always shouted too... Why is he being quiet? It's almost like he doesn't want to frighten you anymore than you already are.

"Um... Yeah... I'm alright... Thanks." You responded quietly as to not draw too much attention to yourself.

"Good..." He said, looking to the side and scowling.

As soon as Vriska had showed up, a few people had left, not wanting to deal with her. The only ones left in the small hive were Sollux, Karkat, Vriska and you. And Vriska was making her way out, clearly bored with the fiasco that had taken place.

"2o... iit's pretty late. You'll have two 2tay at my place for the niight. Hope you don't miind... Er... What even ii2 your name?" Sollux asked.

"Y/N. I'm Y/N." You said in response. "And, I wouldn't mind staying here for now. Thank you, Sollux."

He only nodded in response.

"And, KK, iif you wanna 2tay two, iit'2 no problem. After all, Miituna ii2 at Latula'2 place toniight. And ii know how annoyiing Kankrii can be." Sollux said to Karkat, then turned back to you, "Hope you don't miind 2tayiing iin  Miituna'2 room."

After finding something to wear as pajamas, you got into the yellow bed and slept.

You hadn't actually slept since you were locked away, so it was a luxury that you hoped would never be taken away again.
