Surprise!

I dropped my phone and leaped out of bed to catch my mom before she goes to bed. Luckily she was still up and stressing about what to wear to work the next day.

"Hey mom" i said with a smile on my face

"Hello Sara" i stood there waiting for her to stop what she was doing and listen intently to what i was about to ask her. She stopped, turned her head to me and placed the white blouse in her hand on the bed.

"Yes Sara?" She said putting her hands on her hips.I took a deep breath to get ready to tell the whole story and where i was going to start.

After explaining everything to her. She sat down on her bed, with a doubtful look on her face.

"Please? This is our dream! Don't you always tell us to follow our dreams?" I said. I now spoke with a crooked voice because i had a feeling she was going to say no. After a long silence, she said,

"Let me talk to Katie's mom. I'll get back to you." Even though that wasn't a yes, i still got jumpy and excited because i knew she was considering it. I sat in my room, listening her talk to Katie's mom. I couldn't quite make out what she was saying, but the tone in her voice signaled that the conversation was going well.

I couldn't sleep. Not knowing that i have an extremely high chance of going to London during Spring break! Every time i closed my eyes, images flooded the inside on my eyelids. Of beautiful London at night, and how Niall's hair flows in the wind. I unconsciously smiled and finally, after what felt like hours of restlessness, i fell asleep. Suddenly, i was woken up by the flashing green light coming from my Droid. I managed to pry an eye open to look at the message. It read:

"FROM KATIE:

OMG why is your mom on the phone with my mom? whats going on? I'm freaking out! call me NOW!"

Between my circle of friends, and even best friends, our moms never talked or hungout, they were completely different people. So when Katie heard her mom talking to my mom, i guess it freaked her out a bit. I'm a bit surprised myself that my mom called hers...wierd. I poked at her name on the screen, and hit the call button, then put the phone between the pillow and my ear.

"Hello?" croaked from the other side.

"Dude, its like twelve a.m. what do you want?"

"Why the... whats going on?" I could tell she was really confused. There is no way she could guess what is happening, not even close.

A long silence occurred, and i decided i wanted it to be a surprise, for everyone.

"Its a surprise..."

"Sara i swear to god! tell me now!!"

"NO! Katie I'm going to bed. Don't worry about it, seriously..drop it."

"Fine." *BEEP* she hung up.

It was finally quiet, no sound whatsoever in my house. I could finally fall asleep. Wait, no. No voices? I quickly rolled out of bed and sprinted into my moms room across the hall.

"What did she say?" i asked barging into the room.

"Well Sara..." my head dropped, my heart dropped. "-she said yes!" My face lit up like the morning sun. i began screaming and jumping and completely freaking out. Then i realized, why was my mom so happy i was going?

"You know mom, your not going too?"

"Are you serious? I'm not letting two 14 year old girls fly halfway across the world by themselves! But..... i guess if there were 3 fourteen year old girls...i guess that would be okay. As long as-"

"Yes mom! anything! ill get Danielle on the phone right now!"

"Okay and ill get Danielle's mom on the phone right away too i guess." She smiled. I guess this was her way of realizing that her little daughter is growing up. I walked out of the room, and back to bed. FINALLY i could sleep. And try to get through the next day of school so i can call Niall again.
