Laura's POV
"Laura.. Laura!" I Heard Her Shout. Vanessa? I Lifted Up Quickly Breathing Heavily. I Lifted My Hand To The Back Of My Head. No Blood. I Looked At Vanessa Who Was Looking At Me Crazily. i Was In My Room, On My Bed. "What Happened?" I Asked Confused. "You Finished Packing Everything And Fell Asleep.." She Said Like It Was Obvious. "Thank God." I Said Relieved.
"I Had The Worst Nightmare About What Could've Happened If Melissa Caught Us Leaving." I Said As I Got Up. She Chuckled. "Well She's Gone, She Said She'll Be Back Tomorrow For Sure." She Said Mocking Her Tone.
"I Can't Believe I Used To Feel Like I Was Able To Trust Her. She Turned Out Exactly How I Expected, A Crazy Person ." I Said Rolling My Eyes. Vanessa Nodded Understandingly.
There Was A Long Silence But Awkward Is The Last Thing It Was. "Let's Get Outta Here." She Said Pulling Her Suitcases Downstairs. I Went To The Empty Dresser And Picked Up My Birthday Present From Last Year, An Any Destination Ticket.
"Nessa!" I Called Out. "What?" She Asked As She Came Back up For Her Other Two Suitcases . "Do You Still Have This?" I Asked Holding Up The Ticket. She Examined It Then Shook Her Head. "I Used That When I went To London, Last time I Go to The Airport I Was Being-" "Wait! A Private Jet." I Said Smiling To Myself.
"Yeah, What About It?" She Asked. "We Can Just Take That." I Said Smirking. She Groaned. "Come On Laur.. Can We Just Drive? Plus I'm Not Leaving My Car." She Said Pointing Her Finger At Me.
Crap we Have To Drive. "You Got A GPS Right?" I Asked Not Trusting Her To Just Give Directions. "Yeah, You Use Yours And I'll Use Mines." I Chuckled And shook My Head. "No, I'll Just Follow You." I Said Pulling My Suitcases Downstairs. She Smacked Her Lips Together And Mumbled Something.
I Smiled To Myself And Opened The Door As I Dragged My Bags Out. I Felt my Phone Vibrate Once I Had Reached My Car. I Planned On Ignoring It Since I Was Piling My Bags Into The Backseats. There Was One Last Special Object I Was Placing In My Trunk, the Electric Keyboard My Mom And Dad Got For Me One Christmas.
Vanessa Came Skipping Out Of The House And I Noticed Her Suitcases And Everything Were Already In Her Car. "Did You Lock The Door?" I Asked Eager To Be Out Of Here. She Rolled Her Eyes. "Yes, I'm Not Mental." She Said. I Snickered. "I'm Not Convinced." I Joked. She Narrowed Her Eyes. "Just Get In The Car." she Pleaded As She Walked Towards Her Car.
"It's Been Semi Real Denver, But We're Outta Here! LA Baby!" She Cheered Before Starting Her Car. I Laughed Aloud And Started My Car As Well. I Adjusted My Seat In A Comfortable Position Cause Lets Face It, If I'm Gonna Drive This Distance I'll Get Irritated Quickly If Something Bothers Me.
I Messed Around With The Radio A Bit When I Heard 'You Found Me' Playing. "Where The West, Was All But One.. All My Days Wasted By The Telephone, It Never Rang." I Sang Along As I Reversed Out Of The Driveway.
"And All I Needed Was A Call, It Never Came." I Continued Singing While I Waited For Vanessa To Pull Out Of The Driveway. When She Finally Did And Started Driving I Followed Her. And Thats When It All Became Surreal, We're Actually Getting Out Of Here.
---------
They're Finally Escaping Melissa! And Thank God That Was a Nightmare Laura Was Having, I Would've Voluntarily Choked Myself If I Let Something Get In The Way Of Them Getting Out Of Denver, More Importantly THAT House <3 Sorry For That Scare In The Previous Chapter, Love Ya Guys (;
