21. Blackmail

Niall's POV

Jessica coughed and choked on her spit and looked at me with eyes open wide.

"What?! Why?!"

"I don't know honestly! He made some comment in the last period and I ended up telling him I like girls and guys!"

"Is that why you were late?"

I nodded.

"Yeah. I was a blubbering mess cause his reaction implied that he's straight. Plus there's more evidence from Monday."

Jessica patted my shoulder.

"Hey it'll be okay."

We sat in silence, something we seemed to do a lot nowadays. I looked over to Harry and saw him and Maddie talking. Anger boiled in me and I stood abruptly.

"What's wrong-" Jessica started but I cut her off.

"Maddie at 3 o'clock. Lets go." I growled and stalked off; Jess straight on my tail. She scurried after me in a fashion that resembled a mouse or chipmunk.

"Niall are you okay, I mean if Maddie really pisses you off maybe you should-"

"I should what? What should I do?! What can't I not do that that ungrateful little chick? No! I can't do anything cos it's natural for a girl and guy to flirt but not a guy and another guy???" I snapped and Jessica shrunk back into a corner, she looked deathly afraid and I caused that.

"Sorry, I was j-just trying to help." She squeaked and ran towards her car.

"No, no! Jessica I'm sorry that I snapped!" I ran after her and stopped her from leaving; she already had tears stains on her cheeks and bloodshot eyes. She sniffles and motions me to move.

"But Jess..."

"No Niall, I know you're sorry but... I just can't." She whispered and finally left the parking lot. I stood there for a moment before letting out a shout in pure anger. Why am I so stupid?!

Harry's POV

I tried hiding the smile that was creeping upon my face that A. Niall was hugging me and B. he actually trusted me enough to reveal to me this secret. Is it bad that I felt like a school girl talking to her crush for the first time?

What is up with these random girl preferences?? I'm a man!

*Giggle giggle*

Where's that giggling coming from? I look over and see Maddie eyeing me. I awkwardly turn and walk over to Zayn. He's holding in a laugh, he saw that whole thing.

"Shove off Malik." I muttered. He held his hands up in surrender while still trying to hold in his laugh. I pushed him, which led to him falling from his place on top the auditorium seat. His face was priceless as he fell to the floor.

It was even better when Lily walked by, saying hi but stopping mid sentence and giggled at the sight.

"Dude!! Not cool!" He said from the floor. I laughed as he noticed Lily. He smiled and waved weakly and she returned the favor as she left.

As soon as he stood up, he begun hitting me profusely. Then he was rudely interrupted by a high pitched shrilly voice.

"Hello boys." We turn and surprise surprise, it's Maddie. Zayn gives a curt cough and motions towards the girl.

"Um hey Madeline..." he says before manicured hand covers his mouth.

"It's Maddie, Zack."

"Zayn."

"Whatever you say. Oh hey Harry." She pretends to notice me and gives a supposedly flirty wink. I almost gag and Zayn laughs. She sends him a glare and he shuts up.

"Anyways Harry, could I just talk to you?" She says and glares at Zayn.

"Ahem. Zack? Leave!" Again in the shrilly voice. He takes one look at me and her, mouths a quick sorry and high tails it out of there. Great.

"Thank god he finally left sweetie! I thought I would never get you to myself." She tried to kiss me but I held her at arms length away.

"Awe, playing hard to get, I love it Styles!"

"Yeah, well there's a reason Maddie."

Confusion flashed through her face for a second then flooded with determination. She had me in her sights and wasn't going to let me go.

"Haha, you're very funny Harry. Has anyone ever told you that?"

Blank stare at Maddie. Check. Annoyed girl. Check. Payback at the girl who pissed off Niall. Oh a big fact CHECK!

"You know what, I really have to go Maddie, gotta practice my song and make sure it's in tip top shape for the person I'm singing it to..."

"I know you like Niall." She said with a evil smile. My face dropped and her smile grew more grinch like.

"W-what?"

"Ha! I was playing on rumors but you just confirmed them." I gulped as she began to walk circles around me.

"W-what do you want?" I asked nervously.

"Maybe... just maybe... I can turn you back into the straight pretty boy we all know and love." she muttered and I unfortunately heard what she said. I shuddered and she gave a small laugh.

"So what are you saying?"

"I'm saying be my boyfriend, forget about that leprechaun or else the entire school shall know that you were the cause of Danny's death and Niall will know your dirty little secret."

I gulped and my hands started to sweat. What choice do I have?

PLEASE DONT KILL ME!!! I have no idea how that just happened, but it did and now I have more ideas to tie into the story....... SO PLEASE DONT KILL ME!!

OR HUNT ME DOWN IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM!!! ITS BAD ENOUGH THAT I CANT PROPERLY HEAR OUT OF MY RIGHT EAR!!

I wasn't going to update but my Texas friends are in town and I wanted to give them a little surprise :P So you have them to thank for this little update lol
