39. Prank Week Pt. 2

Niall's Pov

"Alright, alright it was... Maddie." He said and the said girl jumped from her seat.

"You have absolute no proof it was me you little-" Someone slapped a hand over her mouth before any profanities slipped out.

"Actually I do, most students do not notice me so when you slipped in here early lunch period, I bet you didn't see me sitting in the corner trying to make up a test." Jake smirked and it grew bigger as Maddie's jaw dropped and her face flushed.

"Madeline Connors, How dare you try to prank me? What was going through your mind as you did this? Are you insane? It's going to take a lot to get these markers taken off the holders and the principle will blame me for letting a student inside the classroom alone. Madeline you will serve a month's detention and you must come here every Saturday to clean the gum from the bottom of the desks." The teacher yelled, Maddie shrank in her place and didn't make much of a sound, not even a whimper.

"And if you were in the Talent Show Ms. Connors, I will let Mrs. Fang know of your actions and have you disqualified. Now wait here while I write you a referral and then you must walk to the office to collect your detention information." Her jaw dropped and this time she tried to beg her way out of things but the teacher stood her ground and sent her on her way.

"Class," everyone scrambled to their seats if anyone had thought to move or something and we sat up straight to avoid being yelled at and receiving the same fate as Maddie. The teacher walked up to Jake, who still was standing and stared at him, eventually high fiving the student and they started laughing.

"Thank you class for participating in pranking little miss whatever you refer to Maddie these days, she shouldn't be bothering any of you from now on." The teacher said and went back to her desk. All of us just sat there, Louis was the boldest and raised his hand and asked the question everyone was thinking,

"What just happened?"

"Maddie just got pranked!" The Jake character chuckled. Everyone started to laugh nervously, still a little scared.

"Alright class, you can pack up early and just chat. That's enough of excitement for today." The teacher said and everyone obeyed her orders. I quickly packed up and moved closer to the gang, everyone just vouched for sitting on the ground near the door and started their conversations. I noticed Jake still sitting at his desk, working.

"Hey Jake!" I called and his head snapped up, eyes widening but otherwise he looked calm. I motioned him over to us, the girls giggling how cute he was and he made his way over to us.

"What's up?" He asked.

"Pack up and sit with us," I said and he shrugged, packing up and took a seat between Harry and Sam. I smiled as the rest of the group seemed to accept Jake. Some, meaning Sam, accepted him a little too enthusiastically and I could sense a little attraction from Sam's side. I shot her a knowing glance when Jake wasn't looking and she blushed. I knew it.

Everyone helped each other up as the ending bell rang, the guys helping the girls up. Harry helped me up first, I gave him a wide smile before helping or trying to help Jessica but it looked like Louis beat me to that. The four of us made our way to Human Geography in not a silence but not any chatter like we would normally have.

I also noticed that Harry and Louis were separating me and Jessica, they were in the middle and we were on the outside, not that I minded walking next to Harry, he kept putting his hand on the small of my back to guide me through the crowds and I would get shivers every time he touched me.

Upon arriving we were all attacked, but only with silly string. I looked closer and saw Sam and Ashley spraying everyone in sight and then quickly running away.
