Clara waited for Newt at the Hufflepuff table. She hadn't seen him at all on the train, he was probably running around doing stuff.

Everyone was growing up, faster than she would've liked. Next year, she, Newt, Emma and Jasper were taking their OWLs. Clara died on the inside thinking about it.

Last summer, Clara got to go inside Newt's case and see all his creatures. She noticed a picture of her sitting on one of his desks. It was of their third year, when Clara was in her Quidditch uniform, holding her broom.

Newt sitting next to Clara broke her of her thoughts. She smiled at him, and even though she never wanted to admit it to Emma, her friendship feelings for Newt were changing to something more.

The Headmaster silenced the students before speaking.

"Welcome back, and welcome to those who are coming." He said, nodding at the new first years.

"Before the feast begins, lets start with the sorting."

One by one, the first years were called up and sorted into their house. Out of the 40 new students, only 13 were sorted into Hufflepuff. Newt and Clara clapped each time a Hufflepuff joined them.

Then finally the feast began. All the empty plates along each table were suddenly filled with turkey, mashed potatoes and other types of food.

Clara grabbed a chicken wing and put some mashed potatoes onto her plate. She started eating and glanced around the Great Hall. Some people changed a whole lot, whether it was their looks or personality. Clara turned her attention back to her food.

Newt watched Clara most of the dinner. He thought she looked beautiful, more than she did in the last three years. He noticed people weren't bothered much about her scar, but some first years glanced nervously at her every now and then.

He was slightly worried, since he brought his case to school. The reason why he wasn't by Clara on the train was because his niffler had gotten loose and he spent the whole time chasing the creature down. And ever since they got inside the castle, he swore he heard a low roar from the case. Ignoring that thought, Newt went back to eating.

After the feast ended, all the food disappeared. The first years wondered how they did it.

"Hey Clara, how do they make it disappear?" One asked.

"Magic, of course." Clara said. Seeing the kids amazed expression she added, "You are in a magical school, after all."

The Hufflepuffs stood up and left the Great Hall, and the prefects lead the way. The pictures started talking to the students, and some said stuff back, and others stared at them in awe.

The prefect tapped the middle barrel on the second row to the rhythm of Helga Hufflepuff. Entering the common room, Clara grinned. She missed the warm, friendly Hufflepuff common room.

"Boys dorm on your left, girls on the right." The prefect said. Clara knew that already, so she said good night to Newt and left up to her dorm. She flopped down onto her bed when the rest of the Hufflepuffs entered.

Sophie and Maggie waved at Clara, Clara waved back.

"The food was excellent." Maggie said, sitting on the bed.

"Well of course it was, they wanted a good impression on the first years." Sophie said.

"House elves made the food, if you didn't know." Clara said. Maggie shrugged.
