A few months has passed into the year. Clara had already passed the transformation of the werewolf, and she was safe until the summer. Nothing major had happened. There were some rumors about Newt and his case, some people thought a creature had gotten loose.

Clara was going against Newt in a Wizard Chess match, and she won for once.

"Ha! I beat Newt Scamander at chess!" Clara said.

"It was only once!" Newt said. Clara grinned and laughed. Newt grinned back.

"So, how are you creatures doing?" Clara asked. She noticed that Newt seemed to get worried when she mentioned them.

"They're doing great." He said nervously.

"Something's wrong, isn't it." She said.

"Yeah...." He said frowning.

"What got loose?" Clara asked sighing.

"My occamy." He said.

"Oh no.... Well we have to go find it' don't we?" She said. He nodded.

"Let's go." Newt said, standing up and grabbing his case. The two raced out of the common room, in pursuit of magical creature.

Since it was the weekend, they had plenty of time to catch the animal. Hearing a low roar, Newt looked around.

"That must be the occamy. Follow me." He said, quickly walking off. Clara followed. She noticed how he changed a bit when he talked about the creatures, even more when he was going after one.

Newt was scared. He didn't want to get in trouble for letting a creature out. Since the castle was big, he and Clara had a lot of ground to cover.

"Clara, you go look around the Gryffindor common room and by the Great Hall, I've got everywhere else." He said. She nodded and ran off to the common room. She walked around the edge of the common room, her wand drawn. A Gryffindor walked out, and saw Clara.

"What are you trying to do? Sneak into the common room? You're a Hufflepuff! Not a Gryffindor!" The Gryffindor said. Just then, Clara heard the shriek of an occamy. She saw it fly towards her and the Gryffindor. The Gryffindor boy screeched as the Occamy dived at him.

"What the bloody hell is that?!" He cried.

"An occamy! Now go if you want to live!" Clara shouted.

"Is it yours?!" The boy asked.

"No, I'm trying to protect you from it!" Clara said, pointing her wand at it. Then Newt appeared by Clara and the Gryffindor.

"I knew it was Scamanders!" The boy shouted.

"Shut up and get out of here!" Newt told the boy, then he turned to the Occamy.

"Clara! Open the case!" Newt shouted. Clara nodded and opened it. Newt then chased the creature around, trying to force it into the case. The other boy had disappeared, Clara thought he left to get the teachers.

"Newt! The Gryffindor is going to tell on you!" She shouted.

"I know!" He responded. He then ran off to grab something small to fit the Occamy into. Clara shut the case as Newt tossed her a lid to a tea cup.

"We're going to force it into the tea cup, since it can change sizes!" Newt told her.

"Got it!" Clara shouted over the screeches of the Occamy. They chased it around, making the bird spin. It then dived at them, which shoved itself into Newt's tea cup, and Clara ran over and put the lid onto the cup.

Just as they captured the creature, the professors, Headmaster and the Gryffindor boy came.

"Scamander, Angell, I'm very disappointed in you both. Endangering a student's life." The headmaster said, shaking his head.

"Headmaster, Clara did nothing." Newt said, taking the capped tea cup and shoving it into his case.

"Yes, and this wasn't Newt's fault too." Dumbeldore said.

"It was, Dumbeldore! The boy brought the creature, and he will be expelled." The headmaster said. Clara glanced at Newt. He seemed nervous.

"Scamander, I will have a hearing with the Ministry, and they will decide your fate." The Headmaster said.

"Yes sir." Newt mumbled. Clara took the case.

"Can you send that to Scamander's mother, Angell?" The headmaster said, nodding at the case.

"Yes sir." Clara said, rushing off to the owlery.
