It's been a week since Emily has stayed. Luckily, her parents believed her when she told them she stayed at her friends house, which is good.

Currently, I'm on my way to work. I work at a coffee shop close to my house, and I've been working there ever since I got my apartment.

When I clock in, I get here a minute before I'd be so considered late; it's 9:59am. Two others that work here when I do, Lauren and Miles, have been here, and they're cleaning off tables. It's a small shop, and we rarely get busy during weekends.

I hear the doorbell ring, and here comes in my first customer.

~~~
I finally finish and clock out, when another customer comes in. I look up and see the familiar brown eyed girl, and a huge smile comes to my cheeks.
"Emily?" I say, and she looks up from her phone.
She smiles and walks towards the counter, and I walk back to the register.
"I'll have a caramel coffee, please?" She asks as she pulls out her wallet.
"No no, it's on me. If you let me join you?" I say, and she smiles widely.
"Of course, thank you," she says.
I nod and get her and I the same coffee. She sits at one of the chairs that's by the window, and she looks out of it while I stare at her beauty.
"I don't see you as the type of guy to work at a coffee shop," she says, and turns her head towards me.
Her nails tap the side of her cup, before she presses it against her lips, and drinks it.
"Where do you think I'd work?"
"Hm, I don't know. Something more edgy?" She said and I laugh.
"Well, this is my job. Do you work?" I ask, and she shook her head.
"No, but I do volunteer work. I need to get a job, though. I plan to move out as soon as I can."
"Maybe I can help you out with a job? I mean, Theresa is looking for more employees. I can tell her you need a job. And oh, Theresa is the owner."
"Really? Cool, thanks. It'll mean a lot," she said with a huge smile.
I nod and it becomes silent. It wasn't awkward at all, I enjoyed her being here.
"Hey, do you have plans for tonight?" I ask, and I began to grow slightly nervous.
"No, how come?"
"You remember how you said you owe me?"
"Yes."
"Well, my friends are having a party. Will you go? I know we don't have the same friend group or anything, but I thought it could be fun," I describe, and she laughs lightly.
"Yeah, I'd love to go. Text me the details? I should be heading home. My friend and I are going to hangout, I promised to help her with a project for college."
