"Hey, Renna? Can you stop by my work at three and can we go get lunch or something? I need help with figuring something out," I said into the phone.

It's currently my break, and lately, a lot has been on my mind, but it's all confusing.

"Of course, yeah, is everything okay?"

"Yeah, I'm just conflicted about my feelings."

"Oh okay. Well, i'll be there to pick you up," she said, and I thanked her, before hanging up.

"Hey Shawn, after work I'm going to see my friend Renna. She's gonna drop me off after, is that okay?" I asked, going into the back.

"Of course that's okay," he said laughing, and I gave him a smile.

Why does he have to be so cute?

I was pulled out of my thoughts when Darla reminded me that my break was over. I put on my apron again, and walked to the cash register.

While I was waiting for Renna to come, I sat at one at the tables, and looked out of the huge window. It was basically taking up the whole wall.

I was staring at all of the people walk the sidewalks. There were many people today, usually there's not. There were families, couples, and individuals walking the streets with all different expressions.

It was very nice out today, not too hot or cold. It was a clear day, and the sun was definitely shining, also, and it was a bit windy.

"Emily?" someone said and tapped on my shoulder, causing me to jump.

Renna gave me an apologetic smile and I stood up.

"Are you ready?" she asks and I nod, and we leave the store.

We decided on going to Cheddar's, a restaurant that we both liked very well.

We made small talk on the way there, by asking each other about what's been going on, and how we were.

Once we got there, we were almost seated immediately. The waitress came and took our orders, and we were then left alone.

"So, what did you need to talk about? Is everything okay?" she asked, and I sighed.

"I just, well. I think that I may be, kind of, taking a real interest in Shawn? But we haven't even known each other for that long. It's just, he's the sweetest person and I've been staying with him, a lot. We get along so well, and he's just, Ren, I'm just so lost. I can't figure this out," I said, and put my face into my hands. 

"Shit, Em. I'm really sorry. Shawn is very handsome and he seems to be very sweet. Do you think it's too early? Like, do you think you like Shawn?"

"I think I am, but it's not even been that long. It's like we've known each other for our whole lives, you know? I think I like him? But then what if I'm just trusting him too easily?"
