^Girls' Cabin^
When we got to 'the Shell' Pam and Laurie were standing on the stage.
"Hello! Welcome everyone to True You! I hope you've settled in well at your cabins?" Pam said. We nodded. "Y'all are quiet this year. We'll fix that! So Laurie, take it away?"
"Sure. So guys, and gals, and everything outside and in between. Our daily schedule. We wake up at exactly 8:15am. You get dressed, and head out to breakfast, which is in that building right up there." We all turned as Laurie pointed to a building behind us. It was a massive wood cabin with a balcony. "After breakfast, around 9am, trans girls would go off with Lexi, but we don't have any this year, so that's not gonna happen. Trans boys would go with Parker. Then everyone will go with Lee and Lexi this year, to rec activities like swimming, archery, arts & crafts, hiking, horseback riding, kayaking, canoeing, rock climbing, ping pong, basketball, and fishing."
Then Pam took back over. "After rec activities we'll have lunch at precisely 1:30pm. At 2:30, you'll group back off with your cabins for class. You'll learn about many things including sex education, how to introduce yourself with the right pronouns, and share coming out stories. That ends at 3:30, and then we'll all join back together for constructed group time, where you'll share stories, secrets, and facts about yourselves, free of the counselors. Then at 5pm, we eat dinner. At 6:30, we'll have a bonfire and s'mores."
"At 7:30 you'll all head back to your cabins and hang out until lights out 9:30. This is a good time to take a shower, take off your makeup, and change into your pajamas. You are required to wear pajamas. You may not sleep in your undergarments or naked. Also, those of you who do wear one, you do not have to wear a bra at any point during camp," Laurie said.
"Church is optional on Sundays, and we'll have almost 100 people from around the city come in to join us, so you won't be alone. Sunday is also laundry day. On Sundays you can make calls to your family, as long as you don't say anything about this being an undercover safe haven. " Pam had a very serious look on her face when she said that.
"Alright, it's 1:24," Laurie said, checking her watch. "Let's head up to lunch!"
