Rain

{Yuri POV}

It was raining really hard outside. Victor and I were stuck at the ice rink until it stopped raining. Unless we were both up for getting soaked.

"How are you feeling?" Victor asked me, his eyes sending chills through my body.

"Fine. A little tired. Could we take a break? We've been practicing for hours." I yawned.

"You can never get enough practice in. Plus, there is nothing else to do," Victor said as he skated closer to me until I could feel his warm breath on my forehead.

I looked up at him, "J-just a small break. We might have more time to skate later or maybe we could try going home-"

Victor then rubbed his finger on my bottom lip and whispered, "Fine." And winked before he skated off.

That there sent butterflies throughout my entire body. I skated over to a place where I could take my skates off. Victor was already out of his skates and had other shoes on.

"Slowpoke!" He yelled and his voice echoed throughout the empty ice rink.

"Shut up! I like taking my time." I said as I took my other skate off and put on my shoes.

"Well, it looks like the rain has mellowed down. Maybe we could walk home." Victor ran his fingers through his hair.

Home. Victor said that as if it was his home. I liked the sound of that.

I nodded and stood up, holding my skates in my hand. Victor had his all packed up in his bag, so I decided to do the same. Once we got to the front door of where we were skating, it was still raining pretty hard. Victor had a smile on his face that seemed impossible to wipe off.

"How long would it take for us to run from here to your house?" He asked.

"Hmm... five to ten minutes? If you're sprinting, that is," I answered, "I didn't bring an umbrella, and knowing you, you probably don't have one either."

"Too bad. We're running." He laughed, grabbed my hand and pulled me along with him. The grasp he had on my hand was tight and secure. I didn't want him to let go, and I didn't want to let go of him. The small amount of warmth coming from his hand was enough to send butterflies flying throughout my whole body, which warmed me up with delight.

We were still running until a car zoomed past and hit a puddle of water, which hit me. It somehow completely missed Victor.

"Dammit." I grunted as I stood there.

"Well then..." Victor laughed, "Take this." He took his coat off and handed it to me.

"Oh! No need I'm fine I'm fine." I said and waved my hands.

"You're soaked. Really, I don't mind. Give me your wet coat. I don't want you getting sick before the competition." Victors eyes were sharp and his voice was hard, yet sweet at the same time.

I sighed, "Fine." I took off my coat and exchanged it with Victor's. After that Victor ran off again, laughing.

I didn't know what to expect from him. I never knew. He was a man full of surprises. My goal is to be the one who surprises him. So I ran after him as fast as I could. I wanted to beat him home, which probably wasn't likely.

"Yuri!!" I saw and heard Victor screaming. He was running towards me. Why was he running towards me?

Then I felt a giant weight on me and Victor was hugging me.

"I thought I lost you in the rain!" He whined.

He surprised me again. That attractive twat!

"Nope. You didn't." I mumbled and he got off of me.

"As your coach, I need to worry about you and know exactly where you are 24/7!"

"Isn't that a bit much?" I asked.

He chuckled and shook his head, "It's my pleasure."

Then we continued to walk home in the rain as we talked. I don't think we minded getting wet, since we were both already soaked. Once we were back home, it had stopped raining, which was probably the worst timing ever, but oh well.

"Do you think I could have a pork cutlet?" I asked Victor.

"No. I'll take one though!" He licked his lips.

"Why not?" I frowned.

"You have to watch your weight. And we need to take a bath since we just got all dirty. I mean look at yourself. You're a mess."

He was right. I was an absolute mess. I just don't know how he remained perfect throughout all of the rain. Victor motioned me to the place where we usually bathe since we both needed a bath at that moment. Even though the bath placed outside, it was still pretty nice, even after the rain. Somehow the water was still hot.

Victor was already undressed and in the water. I tried to take my shirt off, but for some reason I couldn't get it off. I just had to wear an extremely tight shirt today. Great.

"Do you need help?" Victor said, laughing at my struggles.

Before I could answer, he was already in front of me. He had a shit ton of confidence.

I felt his warm hands on my skin as he pulled the shirt off of me. For some reason this made my face turn into a vibrant shade of red and I felt my whole body heat up in an instant. Why was I feeling this way?

After Victor helped me with my shirt, he went back into the water, as casual as can be.

I looked at him and smiled. Just looking at him made me happy. What were the odds of my idol becoming my coach? I'm so glad that it happened.

My life wouldn't be the same without him. I've learned so much from him and I probably wouldn't be Ice skating if I never knew who he was.

"Victor," I said, "Thank you."

Victor smiled, "For what?"

"Everything."

A/N

I like where this is going! I know this probably isn't the best time to start a new fanfiction, but I can't help myself.
Thanks for reading the first chapter! :)
