Ch. 4

This was it, no turning back now. Thank goodness my parents splurged a little; mom and I are riding first class to and from South Korea. Mom said that it would be like 27 degrees in South Korea so I should pack warm. My dad decided that he was going to stay back and watch over my cats, I'm thankful. He has to work anyways. 

I had just bought new suitcases, a carry-on bag and a laptop bag for the ride. I placed my laptop, mouse, mousepad, and the wires neatly into the laptop bag.

I placed feminine products, travel sized lotion and face wash, some bobby pins and hair ties, my makeup, my phone charger, iPod and iPod charger, a light sweater, deodorant into my carry-on bag along with a book called "Pride & Prejudice", as well. 

In my large suitcase; I packed three pairs of jeans, two pairs of sweats, three t-shirts, two knee length night shirts, some bras and undies (my matching ones), some socks. I rolled all my clothes up.

In my medium suitcase; I packed two towels, a fleece blanket, my boots and converse, a jacket, my straightener. I stored some food into my suitcase. I even packed a silicone toy for myself.

Mom and I weren't sharing a hotel room, in fact, it wasn't even a hotel room. We were staying at an Airbnb in South Korea. It had two bedrooms, one bath, a kitchen and living room.

[Mama Washington]

We were waiting at the airport for our flight. Both Rene and I had a carry-on and a laptop bag. We did take out what we needed on the flight; like our chargers and headphones. 

We had already told my banks about us flying to South Korea. We even took some money out and had it exchanged. Luckily, the Airbnb lady was actually from the U, the transaction was a lot simpler. I didn't have to fight with anyone. 

"Flight 2765 is now boarding. Flight 2765 is now boarding." a lady spoke.

"That's us." I said as we grabbed our things.

We walked through the gate and into the airplane. We had seats together so it wouldn't be so weird for Rene. We sat in our seats and got situated after putting our carry-on in the compartment above us. Our laptops we under the seat in front of us.

"Are you excited to see Kris after four years?" I asked.

"Yes, I wonder if he'll start crying. I know I am." Rene said putting her headphones in and playing Avenged Sevenfold. I plugged my headphones in and began watching a movie. Our halfway point is Seattle, Washington.
