"I know you're from China. I'm from Canada." Rene said pinching my side.
"Ow, that hurt Rene." I said pretending to pout.
"Fight me." she laughed.
"Nope. I don't hit girls." I said hugging her.
"I missed your tall ass." she said taking in his scent.
"She cussed." Chen said.
"She isn't innocent whatsoever." I said.
"You both have a strange relationship." Tao said.
"We know. It's why we've been best friends since we were ten." she said.
"How about we go get some food together?" I asked Rene and Mom.
"Sounds wonderful." Mom said.
"I shall be back." I said taking Rene and Mom away from the studio.

We walked into a cafe that Kris said was wonderful. We ordered and sat down at a table. I ordered an Americano with a bagel. Mom just ordered a coffee and Kris didn't want anything.
"I still can't believe you're here." Kris said smiling at me.
"I know." I said as mom went to get our stuff.
"You know, I think about you all the time." Kris said catching me off guard.
"Really?" I asked.
"Yes. Do you?" he asked and I blushed.
"Always." I said smiling.
"Good." he said as mom sat down with our stuff.

Just watching Rene smile and laugh makes me happy and excited. We finished our foods and I got into a taxi with Rene and Mom. We were heading to their Airbnb so we could chat more.
We walked into the house and boom, instant smell of Sweet Pea, Rene's favorite scent. I didn't realize how late it was until I yawned. We were out so late and now I'm tired. I told Rene that I'd see her again and that I was heading to the dorms.
We hugged goodbye and I left for the dorms.
