Sarada couldn't help but fidget in her seat. The couch that was supposed to feel comfortable made her uneasy instead because of the girl sitting beside her.
She looked up when a glass of juice and a tray of cookies was held in front of her at the center table.
"Sarada-chan, right?" The woman asked and sat down on the opposite couch.
The woman had long white hair, she was kinda tall, but the gentle smile on her face made her seem really approachable.
"It's good that my daughter found you, it's almost evening and the forest is really dangerous at night." A man with shoulder-length pink hair added before sitting down beside the white-haired woman.
Her chest clenched as the familiar feeling of absolute confusion washed over her. She knew who they are even though this was the first time she ever saw them.
Saizo and Kaguya.
Her grandparents.
"Papa's right. What were you doing in the forest. And I don't think I've seen you here before either."
She froze. Hearing her voice was still too much to take in. Even the fact that she's beside her was.
Sakura Haruno, her mother, was beside her. As a child.
"Sakura-chan. She might be tired. Why don't you let her sleep in your room for now? The guest rooms are very messy. We'll ask her tomorrow." Saizo suggested.
Sakura nodded eagerly and grabbed Sarada's hand before taking off to her bedroom.
Sarada's face flushed. She's not expecting any of this at all.
She went back much too further back in time than desired.
"So, Sarada-chan! Where do you want to sleep, right side or left side?!" Sakura asked cheerfully.
Sarada stared at the pink double bed that clearly contrasted the heavily traditional room and the tatami mats beneath.
". . .left side." She muttered. Looking down to avoid establishing eye contact with her mother, or rather the child that was her mother.
"Ah, I want that side too since it's near the window but papa always told me that we should respect the guests so I'll sleep on the right side this time!" Sakura declared which almost reminded Sarada of her uncle Lee.
Sakura suddenly grabbed Sarada and ushered her to sit on the left side of the bed while she sat on the right side.
"This is really exciting, I don't have a sibling so I never thought I'd ever be doing this kinda thing!" Sakura shrieked in excitement.
"What kinda thing?" Sarada asked.
"You know, late night conversations!" Sakura answered.
"Oh."
"So! Where did you come from Sarada-chan? I never saw you here before so I don't think you're from Konoha."
Sarada bit her lip. She doesn't know what to say. She can't just tell her 'Oh, I'm from the future. I went back in time to save you because I killed you.'
So she lied instead.
"I don't remember anything except my name."
She looked up abruptly when she heard Sakura gasp.
"Amnesia?!" Sakura exclaimed.
Sarada felt bad lying but she just nodded. At least they won't be asking her anymore question.
"That's. . .that's horrible. I think my father can help you. He can see people's past." Sakura suggested.
Sarada's face was of worry and confusion.
"Oh. Uhh. I don't know."
"Don't worry! I'm sure it'll help! We'll talk about it tomorrow. You have to sleep now." Sakura assured and urged Sarada to lie down and sleep.
But a question nagged at Sarada's mind.
"How about you, Sakura-san? What were you doing at the forest?"
Sarada took note of how Sakura seemed to have paused for a moment and a hint of both fear and anger flashed on her eyes.
". . .training. Sleep now, Sarada-chan."

Short chapter!
I'm sorry. It's just that it seemed to be best this way and it wouldn't make any sense of I make it any longer and you know how I love cliffhangers so I wouldn't try to ruin that, lol.Anyway, I hope it's alright.
See you next chapter. Don't forget to vote, comment, and if you have time to spare, follow me for more stories ^-^
