The taste of salty tears woke me up once again, so I picked up my book and my pen. I flicked on the light next to my bed and tried to think of something, anything.

"I have to go," I told you, it was getting late and my brother and his son we're waiting for me as their ride home.

"I know," you said, I could see the disappointment in your eyes, and although I was disappointed too, I don't think I let it show. I smiled at you and didn't know how to proceed, do I just walk away?

"Give me a hug first," you said, so I stepped forward into your arms, wrapped mine around your waist as yours wrapped around my shoulders, pulling my head close into your chest. I could hear the fast beats of your heart, could you hear mine too? I heared you sigh blissfully, and your chin rested on my head. We soon pulled away and exchanged our goodnights

It was the first night we met in real life, it was the first time I actually felt something real with you, the first time I realized you were who I wanted to be with, you said you realized it much sooner than I did. Which I don't doubt.

I laid my head back on the pillow and sleep fell over me once again
