Forbidden Affair (Snowbarry)

Wedding Day

Caitlin was in her room getting ready for the wedding. Her dress was long and it was white and blue. Her sister's dress was pure white. The two dresses were similar and that's what Carrie wanted. She wanted Caitlin to be different from the other bridesmaids, who's dresses were just blue, after all, she was the maid of honour. 

Putting her hair into a neat bun, Caitlin smiled to herself and thought about how by this time tomorrow she'll be far, far away fro all this. Taking one last look in the mirror, she sighed in contentment then heard a knock at the door. One of the bridesmaids, Cassidy, told her it was time to go. Quickly, she grabbed her purse and rushed down to reception to get in the car.

It was a short ten-minute drive to the venue and Caitlin watched her sister who looked very nervous. She had to admit that she looked very pretty. 

"You okay, sis?"Caitlin asked.

"Yeah, just a bit nervous" she paused for a moment. "For what it's worth, I'm sorry Caitlin. I've always taken you for granted and what mom and dad said to you the other night, it's not true. You are and always have been beautiful and you look stunning now," she continued sincerely.

"Thanks," she smiled weakly. Caitlin did appreciate the apology but it seemed to be too little too late for that now.

Soon the bridal party arrived and they stood inside the hall waiting for the ceremony to start. After a couple minutes, the music started to play and everyone got ready to walk down the aisle. First the bridesmaids, there were six of them who walked down in rows of two. Followed by Caitlin who walked down alone with Carrie and their father behind her.

As she got to the end, she looked at Barry who mouthed: "I love you," which she mouthed back: "I love you too," before the ceremony started.

"We are gathered her today to celebrate the marriage of Matthew Summers and Carolyn Snow. If anyone has an objection to this union, please speak now or forever hold your peace," there was silence. "Do you Matthew Summers take Carolyn Snow as your lawfully wedded wife?" the minister continued.

"I do," Matt replied, smiling down at Carrie.

"And do you Carolyn Snow take Matthew Summers as your lawfully wedded husband?"

"I do," Carrie replied, her smile changing to a frown after she said it.

"Now the vows, Matthew,"

"Carrie, I know that I've made some mistakes, a lot of mistakes. But you've always forgiven me and that's why I love you. I have no idea where I'd be without you because you've helped me get through my dark times and sometimes those dark days come back to haunt me but I know that you'll always be there to pick up the pieces from my screwups and forgive me, time and time again. I promise to love and cherish you forever,"

"And you, Carrie,"

"I... I... I don't think I can do this..." she stammered, making everyone gasp. "You cheated on me five days before our wedding, I can't marry you," she ran out of the hall. Then Matt fuse blew and he ran after her...
