(Another small update..im in the zone but no more for a little while)
Chase’s P.O.V
“Mum stop, you’re smothering me” I said to my mother as I was trying to lug my belongings outside to wait for Steph
She has been like this for the last two days, hugging me, kissing me and totally invading my personal space. I know why she’s like this, it’s because I’m moving halfway around the world and I love her for it but I really wish she would stop fussing it’s not making it any easier leaving with her being a basket case
“I’m sorry honey it’s just I’m so proud of you and I’m going to miss you so much” she said as tears welled in her eyes
“Don’t cry mum, or I’m going to cry and I promised myself that I wouldn’t so pull it together. Steph will be here any minute now” I told her giving her a hug
I managed to convince Steph to come, not only because I didn’t want to do this without her but she needed to face her fear. The way her and Niall were together when the boys were here was epic, you could see it in her eyes how much she wanted to be with him and you could see it in his eyes to. I can’t even imagine how he’s feeling right now, knowing she hasn’t really talked to him for the last month
I heard a car pull in to my driveway and I ran outside to see if it was her. Her brother Cory insisted on driving us to the airport, he said he wanted to because he didn’t have anything else to do, but the real reason is because he was going to miss us like crazy even if he won’t admit it
I smiled and waved as the two hopped out of the car. I ran over to Steph and grabbed her into a massive bear hug
“This is actually happening” I said excitedly
She just smiled and said “I know”
“What’s wrong? You better not be backing out of this Steph” I said putting my hands on my hips
“I’m not Chase, jeez, look in the car all my junk is there ready to go” she said quietly “I’m just nervous about seeing Niall, I was so mean not talking to him and now what if that’s changed”
“It hasn’t changed Steph, don’t even worry. Niall will be over the moon to see you” I smiled
“Yeah I guess, anyway stop making this about me, you’re the big star here, free air fares, fancy hotel apartment and a big hot shot job, congrats babe I’m so proud of you” she said with a grin
“Aw thanks Steph, I’m glad I get to share it with you, wouldn’t have it any other way” I replied
“Right girls we better hit the road, don’t want to miss those flights” Cory said
Yes, right, flights. I walked over to my mum to give her a hug and say goodbye, I really am going to miss her
“Bye mummy I love you so so much” I said quietly as I felt my chest tighten and tears threatened to spill out of my eyes. No! I will not cry
“Bye baby, I’m so proud of you. Call me when you land ok, I love you too with all my heart” she cried
Mum no I told you not to cry, I turned quickly to get into Cory’s car so she didn’t see me breakdown. Steph said bye to my mum and Cory was talking to my mum about something before they both walked to the car and got in
Cory started up the car and slowly reversed out of the driveway. Steph and Cory were happily chatting away, I wasn’t paying much attention, I had just said bye to my mum, I’m leaving my home to move somewhere that I don’t know anyone. I know this is the opportunity of a lifetime and I am so excited but I’m a little heartbroken at the same time
