I slipped on my casual, but chic black dress, pulled on the bracelet that Ashton gave me that said 'Chey' with the stars. I curled my long hair that recently became a darker shade of brown. I put my make-up on and did everything I normally did before a special dinner. I did something different this time. I put on something different this time. That thing I slipped on was a ring, a 14-carat diamond ring that Jake asked me to marry him with.

Tonight we were telling our friends and family; both families. My parents and his parents would finally meet tonight. Ashton, Nicole, DeDe, Aubri, Jess, Hope, Jake's little sister, his parents, my parents, Caden, and his friend Drew who weirdly I haven't met yet, are all coming to a restaurant by our house. Since Caden, DeDe, Drew, Jake, and his family don't live in Tennessee they are all staying at our house until Sunday afternoon.

I'm very excited to share the news tonight! Although we decided to keep it a secret, I just had to tell one person and that one person was DeDe, but Jake said it was okay that I told her... being that she really already knew since he told her before he did it. When I said 'Jake asked me to marry him and I said yes' to her, she started jumping up and down squealing. She said she's really happy for me and also jealous and that I definitely found the perfect guy.

"Chey, are you ready to go?" I heard Jake's voice from the doorway and my heart skipped a beat. I still felt that lovey dovey feeling around him

"Yes, are my parents ready?"

"Yup, they're waiting in the kitchen."

"I'm kind of surprised they have no clue what's going on. My parents think we're all getting together for a nice dinner."

"Well Chey, they'll know soon. Now can I get a kiss from my beautiful fiancé?"

I smiled when he said fiancé, "Why, of course."

As he kissed me I knew for sure I chose the right guy to marry. He was so perfect and sweet to me. I felt like the luckiest girl in the world. His voice, kiss, touch, personality, and his smile was amazing and it made me fall in love with him every single day. Over and over again.

"I love you Cheyenne Maine Sky, soon to be Cheyenne Maine Davis."

"I love you too, Jake Davis."

"I love you more."

"What? No, I love you the most."

We started bickering about who loves who more when Ashton came in the room and pretended to fake gag. I went to my bed and threw my pillow at his head. "Whoa, don't mess up the hair sis; I got to impress my Nicole!"

I chuckled, "Nicole wouldn't care if your hair looked crappy."

"I know, she's really special," he said with a slight twinkle in his eye. He really loves her.

"Alright, so why did you come in here?"

"Well you two planned a dinner and we're going to be late for it if you two don't put your flirting on hold."

"Whatever, love you bro."

"Yeah, yeah, love you too sis."

We all went downstairs and found my parents talking quietly, but when we came down they stopped. It was strange, but I didn't question it. That much. We all backed up in one car with me, Jake, and Ashton in the back. On the way to the restaurant we all talked. Jake and I flew to my house after our classes for the dinner. Caden came with us, but he said he wanted to check out some of the sites, so we left him to it. We got to my house at five o'clock and the dinner was scheduled for seven, yes I know a late one.
