Skyline and Mermaid Cove

"I have planned a ball in celebration of your return Carter. I must leave to help with preparations. Your new friends with show you around I'm sure." The girls nodded their heads in agreement. 

"I will be taking your grandmother with me Carter, we have many things to discus." She wrapped her hand around my grandmothers, a white god appearing, laving a empty spawn were they once were. 

"So where do want to take her first?" 

"Mermaid Cove!" Talena exclaimed.

"No way, she should see the dragon mountains first!" Jen said. 

"We could do the Enchanted forest, there are loads of cool things there that they don't have in the human world." Rai offered. 

"The Fairy Gardens are cool, she should see the main cities though. But I really want to show her Skyine." Clem explained. 

"Why not all of them?" I offered quietly. 

"Thats a great idea, we will go to them depending on whats closer, anything we don't finish today we can do later." Rai compromised. 

"Okay so thats Skyline, Mermaid Cove, The Enchanted Forest, Dragon Mountain, and we can end with the main cities. Sound fair?" 

"Yup," everyone agreed. Talena teleported all of us, it was strange, a bubbly feeling filled my lungs and I couldn't see anything, but she was right. It was pretty fun. 

When I could see again I was standing on what looked like a fluffy white cloud. The buildings surrounding me seemed to be made of the same fluffy material, but each building were tinted with the colors of a sunset. 

Pegasus flew above and roamed the streets. Each a unique color, but the same silver manes and sky-blue feathers under their wings. Many of the people in the streets were flying.

"Welcome to my city Carter," Clem explained, "Skyline, The City Of Clouds." 

"We control the seasons for all of Crolem. They surround Shylet, which is the city were in, with large interconnecting domes. The center of the city also has weather control, we help Mother Nature keep the weather in check." 

"Hey Clem, I love your enthusiasm, but I suggest that we only see the seasons for now. Were on a tight schedule." Jen told her. 

"Of course! We can start off with Spring and continue from there." I could see the glass domes over the tall buildings, I hadn't even realized that we had walked through it until I noticed that the temperature became warmer. 

The grass was lush and green, every flower in the world was arranged in color, size and shape in huge valleys. 

"Each bubble holds the weather of each season, during each season workers come to a certain bubble to make sure that the seasons are right for all of Crolem. We all started to look around, though I stayed close to Clem. 

Rai looked to be talking to some animals that came out from the flower fields. Talena was lifting water out of the river flowing next to us and made shapes in the air. Jen seemed to be glowing, a soft orange haze around her. 

We left spring and entered the bubble for summer, instead flowers, the fields held many un-grown crops, but other then that, it was pretty much the same as spring. It was extremely crowded in summer though, so we quickly walked through without looking around to much, 

Autumn was breathtaking. Thousands of trees were tightly clustered on the hills. Some had bare branches, but most of the leaves were still on the trees causing the illusion that the trees were on fire with their intertwining colors of red, orange, and gold. Little kids were playing in piles of fallen leaves, their parents standing not fare off drinking hot coffee. Hills that weren't covered in trees were fields and fields of ripe vegetables and fruits. 

When we entered the winter bubble, thick coats magically appeared over our clothes, protecting us from the biting cold. The sky was darkened to dusk, trees coated in a think layer of frost leaving them pristine, sparkling as the last light of the sun hit them. The paths were cleared, although the snow was up to my hip, trails from children and animals came off of the path. The waterfalls were all frozen, but beautiful all the same, icicles hung off of every available surface. The sky was dotted with early stars and the northern lights could be seen faintly far to the north of the dorm. We had stopped walking to look at the scenery around us. 

After a moment of silence Talena said that she would teleport us to Mermaid Cove. The winter jacket was removed and my shoes sunk into the grainy sand. We stood at the mouth of a cave, but the back had fallen to the waves creating and ocean view and a large swimming pool. 

Mermaids and mermen could be seen swimming or sitting on rocks. Colorful silk tapestries hung from the ceiling, treasure such as jewels and pearls made the cave look as though it was glittering. 

Some mermaids heard us approach and came over to the edge of the water to greet Talena. One had pearls woven into her fiery red hair, her teal tail slowly darkened as it reached her waist before turning blue to cover her chest. She looked like she worn a necklace made from a spiders web that was long enough to connect to her wrists at the ends in bracelets.

"Talena! Your back! Who are your friends?" Her voice was bubbly and smooth.

"Rina, you know Jen, Rai, and Clem. But this is Carter." Talena introduced.

"So guys, we will go underwater to Sealfin, The City Of Sunken Atlantis. 

"How are Carter, Jen and Clem going to get their? Only you and me can breathe underwater." Rai asked.

"Rina has agreed to help turn them into temporary mermaids while were down there."

"Actually Talena," Rina spoke up, "We cannot transform your fire friend. Her soul is connected to fire."

"Ok, Ill just make un air bubble so that she can still breathe." After Talena finished, she took off running and swan dived into the water. She disappeared under the water for a few moments before resurfacing. Her normal curly hair was straight and her tail started purple before fading to blue at the fins. The scales came up to her neck, covering her chest in a swirl pattern. A silver belt hung off of her waist and small crystals hung off of her lashes. 

One by one we all jumped in after her, when Rai surfaced she had no tail, but small fins came from her arms and gills could be seen in her neck. Clem dove in, when she surfaced her tail was a dark blue, large spots of white splattered around. Her chest was covered in what looked like light grey coral. Jen jumped in after, but like Rai, she didn't have a tail. 

I jumped in last, when I hit the water I was surrounded with bubbles, but could breathe normally. I could feel my legs join together to create a midnight black tail, small dots of whit looked like paint splatters across it. A spider web shawl covered my chest and connected to my wrists, much like Rina's. 

After we all got control of our swimming, Talena lead us to Sealfin.
