You stared at the computer as the black and white face flickered on the screen, it's crooked smile mocking you. The doctor took a ring of keys out of his pocket. Where he'd found all the things he kept pulling out of thin air, you had no idea. He flipped through the keys until he stopped at one and put it into the padlock on the caged door. He turned the key and snapped the door open, walking over to the desk.

        "Requesting escape." the computer repeated.

"Patience, 079." 049 replied simply, his voice sweet and soothing as always. He started fumbling with the circuitry he had retreived before, connecting it to the SCP and hooking it up to what you would have thought was a larger version of a flashdrive.

"I'm just going to transfer you over to this device and take you to the head labs to hook you up to the main power board. That'll give you access to the entire facility, allowing you to release all the SCPs and shut off the power as I instrcuted. Be sure to open the main exits as well." the plague doctor said as he hooked things up and moved around some wires, plugging them into certain things. Lord knows how he figured out how to work all this craziness.

"Understood. Storing memory of 9f." 079 responded, monotone before the screen turned green and a long series of coding began flashing over the screen. You raised an eybrow in curiosity before turning and looking up the staircase, which was really too dark to see the top but you knew what you were staring at. You steadies your eyes there for a few minutes, listening to guards grumble on out in the main hallways.

"Alright, his sentience is fully tranferred over to this device." the doctor said, you turned and looked at him, he was folding wired up and stuffing them in his pockets. "Let's go, we've got to get to the main power generator." he said, stepping out of the small area 079 was being kept in and walked past you, leading up the staircase. You looked at the computer, it was nothing but a blank screen now, void of anything. You looked on a moment until you heard the doctor stop walking, waiting for you. You turned back and scampered up the stairs.

You both cut back out into the hallway, you noticed 049 tuck the device farther into his labcoat- not wanting anyone to see it. The door shifted closed behind the two of you and he grabbed your wrist again, sprinting past people and pushing past the guards into the elevator. They tried to stop him, but before they could catch either of you 049 had already hit the button and the door closed just before a pair of hands could get in.

The doctor sighed, loosening up a little as the floors went by. You found yourself resting your head on 049's shoulder when you reached floor two, and the elevator doors opened. The guards standing around were obviously stunned to see people getting off the elevator considering everyone was sort of on lockdown and there literally wasn't a single scientist standing around on this floor. The doctor cleared his throat, holding your wrist a little tightly as he slipped past the guards without a word, but one of them grabbed his collar and yanked him back.

The doctor looked at the watchman, wide eyed, and you stared between the two. "Umm....is there a problem?" 049 muttered, his words cautious.

"Yeah, actually, quite a few. Who are you, what're you doing, and why is she with you? We're on lockdown! Did you not hear? 049 escaped and he still hasn't been found." the guard snapped.'

"I um..I'm doctor Simon Glass...um...head of psychology. Former field agent.." the doctor mumbled, pulling out his security clearance card and handing it to the guard. The guard looked at it as he continued talking. "I am here to take um...Doctor....Catherine..to my office." he said, glancing at you.

The guard looked up at him, the other guards were peering over their shoulders to look at the two of you. "There's not an office on this floor, I believe you're mistaken." the sentinel said sternly.

"Oh, did I say office? We have some work to fill out in the...umm.." the guard handed him his card back and the doctor's faulty asnwer was interrupted by the intercom.

"SCP-079 has left it's site. It's sentience and memory recall seems to have left its primitive form and we can only suspect it has found away into the computer systems. Everyone needs to find shelter until they can retreat from the building. Please, remain calm." the person said calmly. One of the guards muttered some profound language under his breath. The doctor grabbed your wrist and started running. Two of the guards yelled at the two of you and you could hear the four of them chasing after you. 049 just kept running.

You ran through some rooms that looked nothing like the other floors. There was railing and the walls were grey and metal. Your footsteps echoed from room to room, hallway to hallway. After some running, 049 took a sharp turn, into a corridor and he opened the second door down with his security card, rushing over through a doorway to a large room where the wall was nothing but security cameras that flipped from different rooms and containment cells. You stared in awe. The doctor started quickly pulling the circuitry back out and the device, hooking wires to the board of buttons and keypads. You could hear the guards shouting out in the metal hallways, their voices traveling down them as they echoed. After a few minutes, all the security cams switched over to the face of 079.

"You remember what to do?" 049 questioned.

"Recalling memory of 9f. Yes." the intercom rang. You're eyes widened as you looked around at the building.

"Good." the doctor responded, grabbing your wrist again, "put the plan in motion, we'll be on our way."
