Penelope's P.O.V.
I let out a deep exhale as I roll over in bed. As I roll over I realize that Klaus is not in bed next to me. I open up my eyes and look around our room to see that he is nowhere to be found. I get out of bed and quickly tie my robe around the light pink nightie I have on.

"Klaus, honey? Where are you?" I call out to him as I walk along the second floor of our house looking for him. I hear no answer and I don't hear anything other than the kids sound asleep in their beds. I walk downstairs and travel into the kitchen where I see a note on the fridge.

'I've gone to the Salvatore boarding house, try not to miss me while I am gone.
Love, Klaus.' His note reads which makes me smile a tad bit. Today is Hope's birthday, and Klaus and I are planning to throw her a surprise birthday party/baby shower. Klaus probably went over to go help set things up or oversee the production, knowing how much of a control freak he is. I hear the front door open and close as footsteps approach the kitchen as I pour myself a cup of coffee from the pot Klaus had made earlier.

"Hey P." I hear Stefan's voice say as he enters the kitchen.

"Stefan! Thank you so much for coming, I know that you probably would rather be setting up but I appreciate you coming over and working on Hope duty " I say to Stefan as I walk over to him and hug him.

"You know it's no problem. I'm probably the only one that can get her out of bed at this point. She's been extremely tired lately but hopefully she'll be in a good mood for today." Stefan tells me as he sits down at the island while I take a sip of my coffee.

"I'm actually going to head over to your house now and see how everything is going. Plus people will start arriving in about an hour or so." I say to Stefan as I pour my coffee into a coffee mug. "Can you just get Nik and Faith up in like thirty minutes and then get Hope up in like an hour-ish?" I ask Stefan curiously as I begin to undo my robe and head for the stairs.

"Not an issue. I got everything under control here Mama P." Stefan says confidently.

"I knew you would Stefan." I smile at him as I head to the stairs so I can start getting ready for this very, long, day.

I walk into the Salvatore boarding house and see white and green baby shower decorations everywhere. Since Kai has been gone Hope has decided not to find out the gender of the babies until he can come back, but since the whole dilemma with Kai possibly being apart of the resistance in New Orleans, we really don't know when the appropriate time will be to bring him back.

"It looks amazing in here!" I say as I walk into the parlor where most of the decorating is happening.

"P!" I hear a familiar voice yell, making my being fill up with warmth. I turn my head and see Caroline running towards me.

"Care!" I squeal as we run into each other's arms and hug tightly. I missed her so much these past few months. I mean, she has her life in Texas with Alaric and her girls, and I mean that's understandable because I have my life with Klaus and my kids.

"I told you I'd be here! I got here and basically started decorating the second I could. This baby shower is going to be amazing!" Caroline says enthusiastically as we separate from our hug.

"I never have to doubt when the event is in your hands Care." I say happily as I look at my best friend. Suddenly I feel a hand on the small of my back; I turn around and see Klaus smiling at me. "Hi sweetheart!" I smile as I lean in and peck his lips.
