Penelope's P.O.V.
Klaus and I barge into our house like psycho people, looking around everywhere for Hope. "Hope! Hope!" I call through out the house, not even taking in account the fact that my other children are sleeping upstairs.

"HOPE MIRANDA MIKAELSON!" Klaus calls up the stairs angrily, his voice at the top of his lungs. Hope doesn't answer.

"Klaus she's not home." I say as I shake my head from side to side in disbelief that our daughter would lie to us so blatantly.

"Faith! Niklaus! Get down here now!" Klaus screams upstairs to our other children. Klaus has never really been the disciplinary when it comes to the small stuff. But when I children do something big that catches his attention, he does not hold back the need to correct them. Within a few minutes Faith and NJ are coming downstairs with tired eyes and in their pajamas.

"Where is your sister?" He asks angrily. Both of them just rub their eyes, trying to process what's going on. "ONE OF YOU SPEAK NOW!" Klaus screams at them angrily. Ever since we've moved back to Mystic Falls his temper has been even worse, I think it's just because of the change from Hawaii to here.

"We don't know!" NJ exclaims as he backs away from his father. Klaus just stands there fuming.

"She's at Damon and Stefan's I thought." Faith says shrugging her shoulders, not really sure what else to say. Suddenly the front door opens, and Hope walks in and looks at all of us with wide eyes as to why all of us are downstairs talking at this hour. Klaus's eyes just burst into metaphorical flames and he can't stop staring at Hope.

"Niklaus, Faith... Leave us." Klaus growls as we just look at Hope as she stares back us. Faith and NJ go upstairs and shut their bedroom doors behind them.

"Hope Miranda! Sit down, we're going to have a little chat." I say as I point to the couch in the living room.

"What is this about?" She asks trying to play dumb.

"Your father and I know that you were not at Damon and Stefan's. So where were you tonight?" I ask as I place my hands on my hips and look down at her. Hope just looks at Klaus and I not really sure what to say.

"Your mother asked you a question. Answer it!" Klaus snarls at her, his temper having already flown through the roof.

"With a friend! That's it." Hope says timidly, not really wanting to go into any further detail.

"Which friend? Do we know them?" I ask her as I then cross my arms over my chest.

"Does it really matter? I'm eighteen years old and I don't need to be bossed around by my parents right now. It's not anyone's business but my own, so can I please just go to bed?" Hope asks with sass as she gets up from the couch.

"Excuse me, who do you think you're talking to?" I ask her as I step in between her and Klaus, knowing he is about to lose the little bit of cool he has left.

"I'm not a baby Mom! I don't need to tell you where I am twenty four hours a day. I wasn't doing anything bad I was just with a friend. I wasn't drinking, doing drugs, or having sex so I'm not really sure why this conversation is even going on right now." Hope says as she tries to go past me, but Klaus quickly intervenes and grabs her wrist, gaining her attention.

"How dare you talk to your mother that way? She is not just your mother but she is my wife as well so she will be treated with respect by you, so lose the attitude before I make you lose it." Klaus growls in a low voice. I'm stronger than Klaus, but he is way more intimidating. Hope just looks at her father with her wide blue eyes.
