Come celebrate with me
that everyday something has tried to kill me
and has failed.
Whether it has been my own mind
or the words of others
I have survived.
Being a woman is already a death threat on its own,
But being outspoken adds to the harm
that will come.
I have survived the harsh words that have
been thrown at me.
My mind has tried to trick me,
say the words it knows I fear.
Has tried to get me to end it all here.
But I refuse to end it,
I got a few more years.
Cause something has tried to kill me
and has failed.
