Rage built up inside me. I used the 'inhale, exhale' method to calm myself. I walked into room 666.
I walked in to see an awoken Finn and you with dried tears that had been streaming down your face. I half laughed, half cried.
"You're okay!" I squealed.
I was starting to lose my already cracked voice.
I walked over to the bed and hugged Finn. I sat opposite his bed and squeezed his hand. Just as I sat down, I heard someone yell slightly. I turned around and noticed that I was sitting on the oxygen tube of another patient.
"I'm SO sorry, I feel terrible!" I said, truthfully.
The guy had beautiful brown hair and one strand that awkwardly stuck out of place.
"It's fine! Don't stress it"
He said, winking at me.
"My name's Brendon"
"I'm Shreya" I said to Brendon, giving him a warm smile, although I was still stuck in this tragedy.
The man doctor, Frank asked us to leave his patients to rest.
(A/N: Frank Iero and the patience, see what I did there? I know, it's not the same thing, but still)
I sighed, holding your hand tightly, reassuring you that everything was fine.
"Let's go" I croaked. I sounded like a frog.
You said your goodbyes and told me you'd wait in the car.
I said bye to Finn, but just before I left, I felt a soft grasp on my wrist. I let out a small gasp and turned around to see it was just Brendon.
I smiled at him but he didn't return it. He wasn't all happy and cheerful, like earlier. He looked dead serious.
"Shreya" He whispered.
"I know a lot about this fire and I can help you"
That was the last thing he said before I was forced by Dr. Iero.
I stared into Brendon's eyes, still assessing what he had just said, while being dragged out.
