We need to talk

"Hey. We need to talk." Melody was terrified. She got a text from Nathan.

"What about?" Melody asked.

"Us" Nathan replied.

Melody texted scared. "What about us?"

Melody waited and waited for a reply from Nathan but he didn't text back. After 20 minutes of waiting she got a text.

"Lets talk at school" Nathan said.

Melody said ok. Once Melody was ready, she walked to school without her mom knowing. Her mom always drops her off at school but today, Melody wanted to walk. Melody lives 20 minutes away from her school.

( Shannon POV )

Shannon thought to herself. Where is Melody? "Melody?" Shannon said knocking on her bedroom door. Shannon walked in Melody's bedroom and she was not in there.

"MELODY!" Shannon yelled.

Shannon called Melody. Melody didn't answer her phone. Shannon kept calling her and Melody didn't answer.

(Melody POV )

"Stop calling me" Melody said to herself. Melody's mom kept calling her. Melody was so sad she didn't want to talk to anyone. Melody finally answers.

"Where the hell are you?" Shannon yelled.

"Why do you want to know?" Melody asked rudely.

"Because I'm your mother and I have the right to ask you anything I want" Shannon said madly.

Melody said "I'm walking to school. It's a good morning and I need the exercise"

Shannon calmly said "Ok good! I was worried. Have a good day at school"

"Probably won't but ok" Melody said.

Once Melody got to school she saw Nathan. Standing so tall and looking perfect like always.

"Hey. You wanted to talk" Melody said.

"Um, Yeah. So are we a thing or do you want to just be friends?" Nathan asked.

Melody was shocked. She thought they were already a thing. She didn't know what to say.

Nathan said "Look. I really like you. I don't know if you like me but I really want to make this work"

Melody smiled saying "I like you too. I want this to work!"

Nathan and Melody smiled. They walked into school together holding hands. Then Melody saw Jonathan.

"Oh look who I found. My bestie with her little boyfriend" Jonathan said.

"Hey I'm Nathan" Nathan said to Jonathan. "I thought Zach was your best friend?" Nathan asked Melody.

"Trust me. He is" Melody said to Nathan.

"I need to talk to my bestie in private. So run a long" Jonathan said

"Oh fuck off Jonathan" Melody said.

Nathan looked surprised. Jonathan walks away with a smirk.

"So, who was that?" Nathan asked.

"Just a kid from my last school" Melody said lying.

Melody had history with Jonathan. She thought they were meant to be. Until he cheated on her. Jonathan broke up with her after she found out. He started to spread rumors about Melody after they broke up. He ruined her.
