The rest of the day went by fast. When it was time to go home Melody went to her locker and grabbed her backpack. She walked over to Zach and told her about Nathan. Zach said "He's probably another loser who'll dump you. You always pick the wrong guys"
"But he was different. He was perfect. I think I'm in love with him" Melody said.
"You just met the dude" Zach said.
As they walked outside, Zach saw his mom waiting for him in the parking lot. He said bye to Melody and said he'll text him when he gets home. As Melody was waiting. Nathan walked up to her.
"Hey," said Nathan.
"Hi" Melody said.
"So, could I get you're number?" Nathan asked.
"Nice pick up line. When are we going on our date?" Melody joked.
Nathan replied "You're a feisty one!"
Soon after, Melody's mom swerved into the parking lot.
"My mom's here" Melody said.
"Does that mean I don't get your number?" Nathan asked.
Melody rolled her eyes and walked away.
