CHAPTER TWELVE :
Mianas POV :
It was thanksgiving day and we were all at the table getting ready to dig in for Thanksgiving dinner. Once we said our grace and everyone said what they were thankful for we started to eat. We had a bunch of food. We had food like stuffing, turkey, macoroni, greens, candy yams, cornbread, and more. There was so much it should last us the rest of the week. Once we were done everyone went their seperate ways in the house and my mama helped me put the leftovers away.
"Thanks ma for helping me." I say wrapping up food."
"No Problem baby." She said helping me. I smiled at her and continued to help her. About 5 minutes later my mom looked back at Brandon leaving.
"See ya later babe." He Said Before leaving
"Bye babe" I said and my
mom looked at me crazy
"Why you looking at me like that ma?" I asked her putting food in the fridge.
"Where is he going?" she asked still wrapping up food
"To work" I say grabbing the next bowl
"On thanksgiving?" she say looking confused
"Yeaah hes a coach for a football team and he has to get some stuff ready because after christmas they are going on tour." I tell her
"He has to do it on thanksgiving? That doesnt sound right" she asked
"Yess Ma. Thats the day they decided to do it. Plus I thought you were cutting him slack?" I. asked her getting frustrated
"I am but still it doesnt sound right." She says
"Well stop worrying hes not doing anything wrong." I tell her smiling at her. At least I hope not I already felt bad I thought he was cheating on me before I dont wanna go through it again.
"Okaay." She said finally giving up. My mom never really liked Brandon because he was black and thought he was like everyone else. Even though she told me she was gonna cut him some slack I feel as shes not. Weve been together 14 years and I feel like shes gonna always find a way to break us apart. Sometime before she leaves I need to talk to her.

Jasmines POV :
I was at the park with Drake because he cant come to my house and I cant go to his. Our parents wont approve of it. I was sitting oh his lap and he was on his phone.
"What are you doing?" I ask him trying to look at his phone.
"Nun man dont trip." he say and put his phone up
"Dont trip?" I asked him getting mad
"yeaa mann." he said
"Why cant I ever see your phone but you always see my phone?" I asked him
"Man you dont need too." he said
"Whatever Bye Drake." I said getting off of him and start walking away.
"If you leave we done foreal this time " I ignored him and kept walking
"Im serious bye bitch !" he said yelling at me. He called me a bitch!!???? Yeah Im done with him I should have listened to Bri & Jass he got me all the way fucked up! I should get my brother on his ass! But if I told him I had a bf he would tell mama and she will beat my ass! Im done with Drake I cant go back to him we break up all the time and come back to each other but im done this time foreal ! I walked in the house and went to my room. I layed on my bed & out of nowhere I started crying. I dont know why Im crying but I am. Hes not my first bf and im pretty sure he wont be my last I still have my whole life ahead of me. I didnt know what to do so I grabbed my phone and called Bri.
