-Anthony's POV-

Aria stared at me and shook her head, "You may be ready, but I'm not."

"Why?" I asked her.

"Anthony, there's people here who need you more," She nodded behind me. I spun around and saw the crowd of people approaching me.

"Anthony, stop this nonsense!" Kalel cried, approaching me, "Today's our wedding day! And...and this god damn imaginary friend of yours is ruining it!" Her cheeks were red and streaked with her mascara and she was breathing heavily.

"She's not imaginary," I told her, "She's just as real as you and me."

"Then why can't I see her?" She snapped back, "Huh? If she's as real as you and me, I'd like to see her."

"Fine then! She's right..." I turned around and Aria wasn't there anymore, "...here." I gulped and pulled my collar away from my neck. There she goes again, disappearing when I need her.

-Aria's POV-

While Anthony's fiancé was yelling at him, I felt someone I hadn't felt in a long time. Someone I was told I wouldn't feel (well, really see) until he died. I started walking in the direction this feeling was taking me, when all of a sudden I was in a hospital. I stopped in my tracks when I realized where I was. In the hospital section of some prison. And the room in front of me had the name I dreaded to see.

I gasped before I walked into the room and saw them. I made my way up to the side of the bed and stared at the sleeping person. They had tubes and needles all over their body and a breathing apparatus over their mouth.

Their eyes fluttered open and widened when they saw me, "What? How?" He croaked as he lowered the breathing mask around his neck.

"I want to ask you the same question, Drew," I answered as I sat down on the side of their bed.

"I...I thought I killed you," He stuttered.

"You did, you bastard," I retorted with a slight smirk. I don't know why, but seeing him was kind of a relief.

"How can I see you right now?" Drew asked. He looked just like he did twenty-some-odd years ago, just with grayer hair and a sadder look on his face.

"You're dying," I stated, turning towards him.

He lay back in the hospital bed, "Yeah? So what? You're probably glad that I'm dying...you must hate me."

I shrugged my shoulders, "I don't hate you."

He sat up slightly, "Excuse me? You don't hate me?" I shook my head no, "How come!?! I killed you!"

"True...and it was totally unjust, when all I did was love you..." He rolled his eyes, "But, you killing me introduced me to a whole new world."

"You mean the afterlife?" I nodded my head. Nothing was said between us until he cleared his throat and announced, "I have cancer, Aria. I've had it for a while, but it just recently got bad."

"I can tell," I remarked as I rose to my feet.

"Please don't leave me, Aria," Drew begged, extending his hand out to me, "You're the only one I have left."

I glanced over my shoulder, "You have no family?"

"I've been in prison all these years. Of course I have no family, well, a real one at least. Please, Aria. Stay with me for my last few moments."

"Drew..."

"Please!" He pleaded, a tear running down his cheek, "You're all that I've got."

-Anthony's POV-

I sat on the church steps next to Kalel. Nothing was being spoken between us. She was looking at me while I stared out at the road where Ian was thanking everyone for coming and telling them he's sorry they had to leave.

"Anthony, why are we doing this? Sitting on the steps of the church we were supposed to get married at after you tried to kill yourself," Kalel whispered, "Are you fucking retarded?" I remained silent. She scoffed, "Is Ian right when he says this is about your stupid imaginary friend?"

"She's not imaginary!" I shouted at her, glaring up at her, "And she's not stupid."

She shook her head, "Imaginary friends are for children, Anthony. Not twenty-five year olds."

"She's not imaginary..." I repeated more calmly, though the same amount of irritation.

Kalel rose to her feet, "Anthony, if you're the only one who can see her, she's imaginary."

I jumped to my feet, "Can we stop talking about this, Kalel? Because you're never going to understand. No one seems to understand."

"Because she's not real!" She yelled at me, "This is all in your head, Anthony! And I don't know why you're doing this to yourself! You're pushing us away from you for someone...for someone who was never there!"

I clenched my jaw, "She's always been there. Unlike you. And Ian. And all these people you claim I'm pushing myself away from."

"Hey," Ian got in between Kalel and me, "Stop fighting."

I crossed my arms and shook my head. Kalel glared at me. Ian's eyes darted from me to her and back. "Anthony, dude, she's right. This Aria girl you talk about, she's never been there."

"You don't understand, Ian. No one does," I growled as I got in my car that I drove here and sped away. As I raced down the streets, loudly playing the heavy metal music I hadn't listened to since I started dating Kalel, I noticed someone in the passenger seat. I slowly glanced to my right and saw Aria.

I slammed the brakes in shock, "When the fuck did you get in my car?" I yelled at her as I turned down my music.

She looked over at me and smirked, "I want you to go somewhere. It's a place where someone will understand you."

I shook my head, "No one understands me because no one can see you but me."

"Well this person can see me. And he needs someone to talk to right now. So go to this place," She said as she handed me a piece of paper.

I looked at the address and my eyes widened, "You want me to go to the California State Prison?" She nodded her head eagerly, her deep blue eyes sparkling in the sunlight reflecting off of the dash board. I don't know what it was, or if I'm just going crazy, but she used to be so faint. And now she's almost as visible as me. "Why?" I inquired.

"Like I said, there's someone there who understands," She smirked. I stared at her, not believing a word she said, "Please, Anthony, for me?"

I rolled my eyes as I made a U-turn and drove to the prison. "You know, I do the craziest things for..." I began to say, but when I looked in her direction, she wasn't there. Again. "...you." I heaved a sigh and continued driving.
