Gizzy POV

My first week of school passed in a blur, and soon enough it was Friday. Friday, as in, the night that I would be introduced to my new Pack - the Howling Deuces Pack.

I was beyond nervous as I practically flew around the house in a flurry, trying to get ready. I wore a spaghetti strap black dress that had pretty little moon and sun designs with my pink Converse and velvet moon choker, as my hair cascaded in waves down my back. My makeup was minimal as usual, with a thin layer of pink lipgloss, shimmery gray eyeshadow, and black nail polish.

Moo-maw grabbed both of my hands in hers with a small smile as she spoke, my eyes quick to catch the words on her lips. "You look beautiful, Giselle. Your parents are so proud of you, and so am I. You're gonna like it here, honey, just give it a bit of time."

I smiled softly and hugged her tight. Words weren't needed then, just a hug to express my thanks to her for allowing me into her home and taking care of me.

She squeezed me gently and kissed my cheek, "I love you, dear. I'll always be here for you, and so will your Rooster. Now, let's finish getting ready for the party, shall we?"

"Giselle." My name was a soft exhale from their lips as they both hugged me tight, sandwiching me between them, Beau on my right and Wes on my left. They looked as handsome as ever in their black pants suits, and I suddenly felt way underdressed.

As if sensing my panic, Beau smiled softly and kissed me; I don't even know if you could call it a kiss, there wasn't any tongue and it was quick. Regardless, it was our first kiss, and as much as it took me by surprise, I wanted more. He pulled away with a teasing smirk, as if he knew how he affected me.

He spoke then, words soundless to my ears but still enough that I knew what he was saying. "Relax, Kitten. You look sexy as hell, and I can't wait to show you off."

Wes stood at my back, his breath soft against my ear as his own words took shape. "You're the most beautiful woman here, Princess, as stunning as ever."

Blushing gently, I nodded with a soft sigh as the nerves disappeared as quickly as they'd appeared in the first place. Something about being with them calmed me, soothed my soul.

Beau twined our fingers as Wes extended his arm for me, kissing my forehead. "Let's get this over and done with."

They led me over to their parents, who I'd met four days prior when Beau had brought me home from school. Samantha and Duke Covington were the picture of true love.

They'd been together since they both were 15, and married as soon as they'd turned 18 and gotten their Wolves. At 35, they both looked a decade younger. They were both blonde, blue eyed and shorter than either of their sons. It was easy to see where my boys had gotten their good looks, when I stood in front of Samantha and Duke.

Samantha pulled me into a hug with a small smile as Beau signed her greeting for me, even as she spoke the words aloud. "Gizzy, you look absolutely gorgeous! My boys won't be able to keep their hands off of you!"

As if on cue, Wes pressed himself against my back and leaned his head on my shoulder as Beau squeezed my hand with a dimpled grin.

Duke smiled and kissed my cheek gently. "Welcome to the Pack."

"My Pack, my family, my friends." The crowd fell silent as Wes smiled and motioned for me to join him. Beau grinned and led me to his side, never loosening his hand on mine. "I'd like y'all to give a warm Texas welcome to Giselle.

She's the great granddaughter of our very own Garrett and Erin, and will be living with them for the foreseeable future. She's originally from Italy, but health circumstances brought her here to us. She was born a deaf-mute, so be patient and gentle with her."

He took a second to pull me flush into his side, as Beau sandwiched me on the left side. "That said, she'll be joining our Pack. All those in favor, say 'Aye,' and any opposed can speak to me in private."

My gut clenched at that; would anyone disagree with me joining them?!? Apparently not. As soon as he'd finished speaking, the crowd went wild with cheers and howls. I so longed to be able to howl along with them, my new Pack...

'Welcome to the Howling Deuces, Kitten/Princess!'

Sudden tears filled my eyes as I looked out through the crowd. Moo-maw and Rooster were pressed up against the stage with ear to ear grins. I almost went to them, almost asked if they could just take me away from here, just before Wes noticed my sudden tears and led me off the stage.

Beau was ever present at my side as usual and signed both of their concern. 'What's wrong, Kitten? Why are you almost crying?' I felt Wes' rumbling growl beside me as he tucked me up under his chin. 'Did someone hurt you?!? I'll rip out their throats!'

I shook my head with a small smile and held Wes as close and tight as he was me, pressing a quick kiss to his cheek. 'No one hurt me, Wes. I just - I just wish things were different... I wish I could talk, wish I could have howled with y'all.'

Wes sighed softly and ran a hand through his hair, gazing down at me before claiming my mouth. His kiss was deep and long, possessive even, as he held my hips. He was usually so gentle and quiet that the intensity of the kiss was a surprise. But still, I loved it as much as Beau's.

'You'll have your Wolf before too long, Princess. In the mean time, you have us, and your new Pack.'
