The wolf growled in pain as he limped through the dark and moist forest.

The car that hit him. It was no limousine. It was one of a hunter. And the wolf made a dash for it into the forest as quickly as he could.

Footsteps definitely could be heard nearby. Making the wolf move a little quicker. He should be quite close to the school now.

Looking back, his eyes widened as he saw a shiny gun barrel behind a tree. A small gun fire was heard and then came the shot.

A tranquilizer stuck itself into his hind leg and the wolf groaned at the sharp pain.

Werewolves tend to be stronger than hunters. Thus, the hunters would usually bring the werewolves back to their base to kill them. Lucky ones who are spared would be placed in the same pack as the hunting dogs.

He had to get to school quickly. Before the tranquilizer took effect.

The silver-furred wolf ran as fast as his injured legs would carry him. And hearing desperate and quick footsteps behind him, the wolf ran as quick as he could.

But he whimpered as he fell. The tranquilizer had already made his hind legs numb.

(Y/N) desperately stood up, only to fall back on the ground.

He snapped and growled as the hunting dogs came over, biting whatever they could of the wolf.

There's no way he would give into the tranquilizer.

But his legs have already decided to give up on him. His eyelids felt like lead. And because of his numbing body the soft ground felt just like the comfortable mattress back at home, tempting him to fall asleep.

His body had already given up as his head fell to the ground slowly.

The wolf's eyes closed ever so slightly while the pack of dogs dragged him back to the hunter.

Almost immediately, they were stopped.

A certain red-head appeared right before the pack. His eyes glowed menacingly in the dark forest, scaring the dogs away easily.

"Tsk. What a pain." The oldest of the triplets sighed as he sat by the wolf. He definitely didn't have enough strength to bring the wolf back to school, so all he could do now was protect him.

Ayato stared at the sleeping wolf, a small smile crawling itself onto his face. (Y/N) looked so peaceful as of now. No frowns, no growls. The vampire's hand inched its way towards the wolf's silver pelt.

And finally the pale hand of the vampire reached into the thick fur.

He had not imagine it to be so soft and fluffy. It felt like the fluffy pillows that he slept on but softer. Never in his life had he touched anything so exquisite.

Soon enough, the red-head has found himself resting his head gently on the sleeping wolf, his eyes shutting as he fell into a sweet slumber on the muddy grounds of the forest.

Feeling a weight on him, the silvernette's eyes snapped open. He stealthily morphed back into a human, only to find a certain vampire laying on him.

He flicked the red-head on the tip of his nose, making the vampire hiss and wake up.

"What are you doing here?" The werewolf asked as he took a look around, finding themselves still in the dark forest.

"Tch, if it wasn't for ore-sama, you'd be dead by the hunters." Ayato smirked proudly.

"I'm asking why you are sleeping on me." (Y/N) narrowed his eyes down at the vampire.

That caught the vampire off guard, immediately turning him into a flustered and stuttering mess. A small blush rose onto his pale cheeks, making the werewolf smirk.

"I was doing nothing! Tch, you werewolves are so annoying!" The emerald-eyed male threw his hands up in the air out of frustration.

"Can't say the same for your kind..." The silvernette muttered lowly. Luckily, the vampire didn't hear him, if not he'll start another rant on how rude werewolves are.

"Tch, we should get to school. Because of you I'm going to get punished." Ayato grumbled as he stood up and looked away.

The werewolf tilted his head curiously. "Punished?"

"Yes! Yes! Now let's go before it becomes worse!" The vampire grabbed the werewolf's arm and dragged him towards school.

But that wasn't going to work, the werewolf took the opportunity to pull the red-head back and pinned the vampire to a tree.

If the vampire was smart he would have teleported away, but this one didn't seem so.

Instead, the emerald-eyed boy's face flared up so quickly that it could already be brighter than his hair.

"W-What do you want?!" He stuttered.

"What punishment?" The werewolf questioned. "From your mother?" He growled ferociously.

When the wolf came to know the triplets in the past, he learnt that their mother, Cordelia, wanted Ayato to be the successor of the family. And she was extremely strict with him and his studies. The wolf learnt it the hard way of what would be done to the vampire when he doesn't do what his mother tells him to.

"No..." Ayato's voice came out in almost a whisper. If it was any normal human, they wouldn't even be able to hear him.

"It's..." The vampire started, his face still a bright red as he looked up at the werewolf.

"...None of you business." The vampire clicked his tongue and looked away, the bright blush never leaving his pale cheeks.

"Tch." With that, the werewolf backed off from the vampire as he picked up his bag and walked to school.

The red-head sighed as he looked at the red marks on his arms that were caused by the werewolf. He missed the warmth of the taller male already. The way the silvernette's tight grip on him made him feel weak. And the cool stare of the werewolf sent shivers up his spine.

He shook his head, questioning himself as to why he was thinking of those things. His cheeks heated up even more if possible.

The vampire sighed as he caught up with the werewolf. He couldn't help but notice the taller male limping a little while walking.

"O-Oi. Are you okay?" Ayato asked.

The taller male managed to force out a small smile. "Yeah."

"Don't lie. You're limping." The red-head narrowed his eyes at the silvernette.

"I'm fine. It'll heal in class." The werewolf growled, getting a little annoyed at the vampire.

"If you say so. Ore-sama was just lending a helping hand." The emerald-eyed boy rolled his eyes.

"Yeah, yeah." The silvernette looked off into the never ending forest.

"Hey, do you think we're walking the wrong way?" He asked.

The vampire looks around. "I don't see the end to the forest anywhere." He starts panicking. "Are we lost?!"

(Y/N) scans the area.

"I think so."
